I read a complaint and had an identical situation: I ordered a gear replacement kit online toward the end of Feb. I received an automated email saying my item was back-ordered and will ship out in a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks went by and I emailed requesting information on the status of the order. In 2004 we moved into our new home built with all Pella slimshade Windows and doors. Within two months, one of the "raise/lower" devices broke. Local Pella dealer came right out and replaced screen with different design. It works great BUT is completely different in appearance that nine other windows in same room. In addition, none of the slimshades will stay up. They slowly fall to about half way with some of the shades facing up and other facing down. Looks kinda crappy too. This utility company does not provide a proper service. Their charges are astronomical and their monolopy must be wiped out. Hague Water installed a $9, 000 system for our new house in January 2007. they knew we had no public water supply in our area and would be getting water from our pond. they promised us crystal clear water. 2 years later the only thing crystal clear is they don't know what they are doing and are very willing to keep selling us more and more equipment hoping to someday fix the problem. We signed a contract with these guys in June of 2003 when a salesman came by our home. It seemed like a decent deal- service charges of $50/month for 3 years in return for a security system and service for those months. We soon found that the service was a ripoff, as we didn't receive anything from it even when the alarm went off. My washing machine from Sears first needed repair on December 15, 2008. At which point it was determined by the technician that the door needed a simple repair. Once the part was sent to my house another technician came to the house and luckily checked the machine a bit more an determined that there was a much larger repair to be done. Yesterday I purchased Norton 360 version 3.0 on a 2-year deal and downloaded it apparently successfully on to Computer A but found it disabled the connection to Computer B which shares files, printer and internet access hosted on Computer A. Bought a $600 dishwasher from Lowes on Friday 3/26/09. Unit was delivered on Monday 3/30/09. Unit was installed Tuesday 3/31/09. He set a price a and said he and three other men could compleat the job in 5 days .In stead he and one man worked 5 days and did not compleat the project. When we built our home back in 2005, our builder recommended a propane company named Blue Flame Gas. We had them install a propane tank and supply our propane from that point forward. I did find out until 4/1/09 that Blue Flame Gas was bought out by Paraco Gas in November, 2008. Up until this winter we had no problems with our propane delivery. Oncor will not tell you or they say they do not know how much they are going to charge you for anything. How can you agree to a charge if you don't know if it is going to be $10 or $500? They say there will be "calculated" charges. What does that mean? I am a single mother of three with no help trying to keep my bill down and I get charged $80 for them doing their job not to mention three $2.21 charges for these new meters that we have no say so in. Be advised that we recently (November, 2004) had a bad experience with Vanden Construction operating out of Hawthorn Woods, IL. Contractor's name is Paul Vanden (full last name is Vandendolder). The work involved a fireplace and additional work on our basement. We first called Brian 12/29/09 he said he put 20 pounds of R-22 in our system and ther was no leak. By 3/16/09 the a/c was blowing hot again. It all started out great. They came out to the house to give us a free estimate and were able to compete with their competitors as far as pricing went. They took our money and set up our install. In June 2004 I ordered a bookcase and TV stand from Oak Post Furniture in Laurel, MD. When I called to track the order six weeks later, I was told the manufacturer had not delivered and I would have to wait until mid-November. I just tried to reach Oak Post in Laurel and there was no answer. I continued to try calling all the other stores in Maryland and Virginia to find that all the numbers were no longer in service. I ordered a set of french doors from Gym, the owner of the Window Connection, on 5 March, 2009. The french doors I ordered included what are called internal perimeter grids. The doors were delivered on March 17th, 2009, but did not have any grids. I signed up for a heating protection plan in 2009 and was paying 20.99 per month. In one service call I was told by a sales representative from Direct Energy that there is a more comprehensive plan (Total home protection plan) that covers air conditioning and plumbing, etc. for additional 9 dollars. I bought a livingroom suit from conn's and the product has torn & is coming apart. I called and they come out to take pictures of this mess. It has been a month and a half since conn's had come out and i have called several times since then. They act like they are ignoring my calls. I cannot get them to call me back or have not received nothing in the mail.The furniture is so bad, that it's getting to where we cannot sit on it anymore because of the staples and pieces of boards sticking you. A new low in customer service, mainly, there is none. I along with a few other employees left after we were informed that we would not be receiving a paycheque due to financial difficulties.
