American Residential do not tell when you sign up for their service that if your Appliances or AC unit are older models that they will not be covered for repair or replacement. American Residential will not fix or repair or replace any thing that is not fairly new. If you have a new home you wouldn't need thier home warranty coverage. Do not buy this contract!!! It is not carried out. We paid $399 for a service contract. When we called for the last service, we were told, we called too early. They can not make appt before 10 days in advance. I called later...they told me the contract expired. No appt. They will NOT service your contract, do not bother to buy one!!! They will have every excuse in the book not to give you appt, you can call forever...no appt. The service contract offered by GE are a fraud. Easyhome came into our home, damaged our carpets by not having carpet rolls. Easyhome is now coming to take our furniture back that we have already paid double of what its worth and still owe on it. If we keep the couch bed and a freebie kitchen table at the end of paying it off, I would have paid 7000.00 for a 1200 dollar couch and a 400 dollar bed with a 300 dollar kitchen table which we received with burn holes all in the kitchen table, I own no animals, I shower twice a day and am a very clean neat person, the couch smells like a... read full review »

In November I got 3 nintendo ds's for my 3 kids. These were suppose to be combined withmy orginial acct.. however Vann at the Cherry Ln store did not do this. He set it up on a seperate account when doing a add on for me for the starter kits I forgot to get. This created a huge problem. I went back to the store Dec 17th.. They mislead me by telling me that I need to replace the whole garage door opener and after they started to uninstall the garage door opener my home insurance company told me that they would not accept GDS service. When I asked GDS service men to stop the work and install it back he said he can't do it. I also mentioned that I would pay him money for that he still didn't agree. I had my entire exterior house painted by this company in 2003 at the cost of $5, 500.00, It was supposed to be garenteed for life. I immediatly had problems! No one would talk to me from the company. It has been a battle for years, I have contacted the company 29 times and to this day they have not attempted to call me back. There is never anyone in the office to talk to. The paint has Peeled off in large 4 to 6 inch chunks, it has rusted, it has faded, and they painted the wrong colors on the home. If you live in Charlotte you have probably passed this store located on Easway Drive a million times. Well- DON'T GO IN!! We purchased a three piece living room that was supposed to be in stock (it was supposedly on the truck being unloaded as we spoke). Needless to say, after paying for it we discovered it was not. I have been dealing with Stainsafe since May 2007. I was able to reach someone after a few days of trying and started a claim with them. The issue was pen marks on my couch. They claimed that they would send me two new cushion covers...they never made it to me. When I notified them of that they said that they would look into it. We've lost all confidence in Sleepy's. We tried their 'diagnostic' bed which was supposed to indicate the best mattress for us. Instead of giving us what we asked for, (we wanted something similar to hotel quality like Hilton, Homewood Suites, or Sheraton), we were pushed to the Miralux. What a piece of crap. We purchase a Kelvinator Freezer KI26OUF from Witbank Hi-Fi Corporation on the 24/12/2008, the freezer started to over freeze, we phoned Witbank Branch several times regarding this problem, on the 11/3/2009 they said we must fax them the slip and they will send out people to fix it. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher and an installment of same. The installment had a rebate offer of any dishwasher that cost $497.00 or more of which my purchase qualified. When the installers came with the diswasher, it was discovered that the dishwasher was damaged. Another dishwasher was ordered from another store. the bread pan rotor has become extreemely difficult to twist. The Bread Machine sounds like it just may quit in the process of making the dough. Tonight I called the WELBILT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CENTER for assistance and got a recorded message telling me that for a fee of $5.49 I could call their new telephone number as the 1-800-872-1656 no longer works. This company sucks at shipping items and communicating to customers. I ordered $1200 worth of accessories and a gate opener for my house on March 9th. It is now March 23rd. I have no gate opener and I have no tracking number. On their website it states they provide a tracking number on all orders. Not true. I did get a few things I ordered, last week. This company is worst company on the planet. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INSURANCE MONEY. They have this ploy where they tell you to "sign a contingency contract" and that they will go get your money for you. You sign a contract NOT for a dollar amount, but for what they call "RCV". That means that every penny of your insurance money goes to them and you have absolutely no say as to where the money is spent or how. We purchased a KitchenAid KPMC140 microvave oven in 2003 and are about to replace the door springs for the third time. And when they fail, they don't just fail in place but rather come flying out of the unit. This could be a real hazard. Clearly, the springs were not specified to handle the weight of the door for normal use. We have also replaced the controller and the display panel in this unit. We have never paid so much for such a low quality appliance. And don't even get me started on A & E service. In a word: a farce. read full review »

I was bullied into buying a liner when I really felt my liner was in good enough condition as did my son. They use scare tactics to make a sale and get their foot in the door by selling me a 'cheap sweep'. Something did not seem legal about the whole process. Center Point Gas Service has the worst Customer of all utility companies I've ever dealt with... !!! I have forgotten to pay the bill and they disconnected the gas service. I paid the bill immediately. However, the next day I was going to get the gas service reconnected they told me a technician will arrive between 9:00am and 7:00pm and that someone must stay home and wait "ALL DAY" because they could not tell me an approximate time of arrival. Ordered 5 interior cherry wood 6 panel doors for one hallway area in my home. Three of the door were installed, after found out that the other 2 doors were special order at 600.00 a piece. I gave them a deposit check that was supposed to be held and not cashed until after the cancellation deadline.
