I called rental office on 3/18/09, left a message that water in toilet was running (continuously), toilet could not be flushed. I have not been able to use for the past 24 hours. Called rental office again on 03/19 after their office opened at 9:00 am, was told that someone would be sent out immediately. I purchased furniture online, total was 1, 753.00 which 65% was supposed to be charged to my credit card. The entire amount was charged without my knowledge or consent. Phoned and emailed numerous times and never received my furniture. Cancelled my order in NOVEMBER and as of February 16, 2009 have not received one cent of my money back. Bought the Dining Room Table March 29, 2008. After owning the table for less than 1 year, one of the legs broke ( February 2009). Based on a horrifying experience, this national business uses false advertising and carries misleading charges. They claim that the locksmith services start at $29 but don't write that this fee is just for the technician reporting to the site alone. Additional charges apply making a minimum total charge amount at $125. They also claim that a technician will be at the site within 15 minutes of the call. A company that has currently popped up on job sites is FAST TRACK, which is exactly like SMI, except they sell home remodeling products. This company charges a $3 fee for paying online using a credit card. I had heard that this was illegal, so I contacted my credit card company (MasterCard), which told me it was illegal 99.9% of the time, leaving the .1% to a payment arrangement through a third party agent. In this age of technology and automated payment software, I would think this is not only unethical, but unfair. I spoke to HDinstallers on the phone and, after paying their ridiculous fee, they sent out a bum in a van who said he was there to install my plasma tv. My wife wouldn't even let the guy into our house b/c he didn't have identification showing that he was with HD installers. We told him that his services were no longer needed and called zipinstallation.com to do our installation. The installer was dressed professionally and did a great job with the installation. The company came out to fix two torsion springs that broke and charged us 496.55. The invoice only states that " 2 Springs adjusted". There was no breakdown as to what we were being charged for. As a women, I did not question the repair man of the cost and would have no idea at the time what a torsion spring would run for. I purchased a Jack LaLanne express juicer and not to long afterwards the blade/filter broke leaving m unable to use. I have been trying to get the part for over a year and kept being told that it would be shipped within 30 days. After the 30 days I wouldget another notice saying the same thing. I have called a number of times and it was always 30 days. Today when I called I was told the juicer was discontinued and I wouldn't be getting anything. Either I or may Bank made a mistake, and sent my mortgage payment of 774.52 to Comed, and my $48 electic payment to the mortgage company. So all I asked was Comed to give me bakc the money that was mistakenly sent to them. This happen on 2/13/2009. I was passing through airport security jsut befor reaching gate 11 in terminal 1 in CDG airport in Paris last night ( 15th march 09) to fly back to Dublin. The drain under my tub is ruptured. I have a home warranty through 2-10/ Home Buyers Resale Warranty Corporation that notes that plumbing is covered. They say that they do not cover any damage due to a leak nor do they cover any damage done to the structure in order to repair a covered repair. I purchased a LED under the counter light set consisting of four light 'pucks' each containing 24 individual LEDs. The package said the product was warranted for 2 years. Within 2-3 months, two of the pucks had gone out. The set costs approximately $25 at Costco, but since I could not find the original receipt, Lights of America would not replace the bad 'pucks'. I ordered and received a KitchenAid pasta maker attachment for a mixer. When it arrived the power attachment would not fit my mixer. I did not use it nor even unpack it all. i sent for and received a return authorization from them. I sent the pasta maker back as soon as I received their authorization to return it. As part of my furniture purchase from Basset Furniture I was given a $500 worth of gas redemption certificate from Free Gas Central. I started my redemption in Jan 09 and have not received a gas card. My February submittal was return "unable to deliver. Free Gas Central telephone number has been disconnected and e-mail contact doesn't work.
