Bally Total Fitness Englewood Cliffs, NJ
ken April 4, 2009
I too was scammed by this company many years ago. I was in high school, and when I joined I wanted to make sure that I would be able to cancel my membership because I was going to go to college out of state. One of the "trainers" (really a sleezy salesman) assured me that all I had to do to cancel was to tell them that I was moving. When I tried to cancel, they said I needed to move where there wasn't a gym within 50 miles, something that the salesman that sold me the membership conveniently failed to mention. How these people... read full review »

LaMaur Vita E Hair Spray
Elizabeth Mays April 4, 2009
I purchase six cases of hair spray at a time to get the best deal. Therefore I am not in the supply store as often when I purchase in quantity. However, I usually check the sales flyers and shop when I see a good buy. Where are the flyers??? I haven't received one in quite awhile and missed the Lamaur Vita E Hair Spray when it was on sale for $l.87 a couple of months ago. I was told by the rep. at Sally's that it would be another six months before it was that cheap again. I need to buy in quantity to keep my prices down. If you... read full review »

Susan Skelly April 4, 2009
I purchased items online from Chico's. Shortly after the items arrived I received a letter saying "Ops - we forgot to give you your $20.00 off your online order so we are sending you this card worth $20." When you look at the card, good from March 24 - April 5 - you hae to spend $80 to get the $20.00 off. I came away with nothing!!! read full review »

Natural Source Store / South Beach Smile
kme1971 April 4, 2009
I also ordered a free-trial for $6.95. I did not receive the product until 7 days into the trial period, it hurt my teeth, and NOWHERE in the confirmation email or packaging or even the order form online did it say anything about an automatic $79.99 charge to my credit card. All they could do was lecture me on reading the terms and conditions, if the question I asked didn't fall into their scripted response, they just rattled on and didn't even address my issue. Well I had to go to my dentist yesterday and he advised me to... read full review »

Several charges are on my Walmart Greendot Visa from this company for exactly 66.92. At least 5 and 2 of them one week apart. I DID NOT authorized these charges and I demand a refund for these unauthorized charges as well as legal penalties for their theft of my money and punitive action for any overdrawn or late charges I have incurred because of this. Who the hell and how the hell do people keep getting away with this?? read full review »

Basic Eyewear
Suzanne L April 4, 2009
My girlfriend, also a doctor ( I will refer to her as Dr. V.) bought 2 pairs of Basic Eyewear from Manhattan eye works. I loved the style but more importantly, they were a very lightweight Titanium so comfortable you don't feel them. I too bought a pair. The frame as is, without the perscription cost $350.00. Dr.V. opted to have her RX included right away. She spent an additional $700. per pair. Each pair cost her$1050.00. Her total investment was $2, 100.00, for 2 pr. of glasses. After a week the frame on her glasses broke. A week later... read full review »

Macaroni Grill
saveebuyer April 4, 2009
I had a problem at the Macaroni Grill near Greenville South Carolina when I visited friends there. We were in a large group of people and the waitress was doing a great job of keeping everybody happy. The only problem was with the manager named Smiles or Smiling, who was a total jerk the whole time. He "helped" us a few times by berating our waitress when the waitress' assistant brought out an order for another table, and by making her get more silverware to replace a set that was dirty. We were embarrassed for the waitre... read full review »

Blue Ridge Healthcare Billing
savana22 April 3, 2009
I have had a total of 10 major billing errors. One medical test they never submitted to my insurance until 2 years later when I went back and checked. They will turn things over to collections that I have paid for, they do not return calls nor letters. When there is an error on the part of how much something was or that they billed me for something I did not receive; they just ignore it and send it directly to collections. When I disputed 3 things that were wrong [$2, 500 in mistakes] they told me not to call back and that I was being labeled in their system as a "difficult customer". read full review »

Top Berry Colon Health
Natalie April 3, 2009
I ordered what I thought was a 30 day Free Trial bottle of the Acai berry detox, only to be charged $87.13 to my checking account. I called the company, FWM Laboratories, only to be told (after waiting for @ 10 minutes on hold) that it was in the fine print that if I didn't cancel this 30 day trial membership, I would be charged this amount for the bottle. It is on me that I didn't read all of the fine print - I thought I had. I, of course, cancelled my membership, but am liable for this charge as he advised me they do not accept this trial bottles back, even for a partial refund. Again, a lesson learned! Read the fine print and be careful... read full review »

I don't normally respond to aggressive internet marketing but in the case of the Nature's Acai Berry and Ultra Slim XS weight loss advertising scam I fell victim. Here's the scam: 1. I came upon a website with the testimonial of somebody named Michelle Thomas from New York who reports that she lost 35 lbs on the Nature's Acai and Ultraslim diet. KFC- chicken pot pie
mwquereshi April 3, 2009
I used to visit my local KFC especially for chicken pot pie which is seasonal. Last winter season ordered chicken pot pie and it was made fresh, it was tasty. This winter season, KFC chicken pot pie didn't tasted good. The chicken was raw and so were the vegetables. I thought it can happen one time. But no it happened each time I got chicken pot pie. One day the chicken in the chicken pot pie was purple and I noticed that three times I bought chicken pot pie, the chicken in it was purple and tasted bad. It smelled bad too... read full review »

KFC Chicken
Dee H Johnson April 3, 2009
I went through the drive up window and ordered a 3 piece meal, white, using a coupon I received in the mail for $5.49. My order was filled with the receipt showing 3 pc meal white, $7.69, with $2.20 discount, which was correct. However, when I got home my take out meal was actually a thigh and two drumsticks, instead of breast and wings. I gave the chicken to my dog because I don't eat dark meat. I didn't return to the store because it is difficult for me to get in and out of the house very often, which is another reason I use the drive up to order. My receipt clearly states "white" but that's not what I received. read full review »

And the protocol screen did not show anything regarding a deposit. So I told her no. Then come to find out later that was not the case when the customer complained that she was charged a deposit fee. Today was our third and last visit to Allcare Dental in Avon, IN. My son and I arrived at 8:00 AM for an 8:00 and 8:30 appointment for teeth cleaning. The doors were locked and no lights on. A young man, (the office manager??) unlocked the doors and let us in just as we were headed back to the car. I asked him if he was the only one there and he replied "Yes." I ordered the free trial, but was not given full advertised time to return it ( because I didn't like it) before they started billing my credit card for monthly automatic shipments. I never opened any shipment and returned them to sender, but was not refunded for all shipments. They claim that they didn't get all the shipments because they turn away all shipments that come back "return to sender", ( according to the rude and sarcastic customer rep Kevin that I spoke with). So, I am stuck paying for product returned to them, which I'm guessing they just sent to the next gullible sap. read full review »

The website at Advanced Wellness stated at the time of the order, as well as when I tried to cancel it today that you would be able to return the product if you were not completely satisfied with it. When I tried to return the unopened bottle today that their company charged me a whopping $78.81 for on March 8, 2009, I was told that they did not accept any returns and that basically I was stuck with it.
