This tourism agency is a joke. You really need to be on top of everything they do or say they will do. They apparently reserved 2 nights in Dublin for us this summer when U2 was in town, no, it didn't happen and the town was sold out solid. They reserved a vehicle for us, no they reserved a go-cart for us. This was the scariest vehicle, no power steering, which is just what you want in Irelnd on those narrow and twisty roads! My husband and I took our 2 daughters for a Saturday night to the Kalahari in Sandusky, Oh. My daughter (age 9) was having trouble getting to sleep so one thing we enjoy is walking and talking and seeing what goes on in the hotel when everyone is asleep. We are a cash low cost backpacker hostel who charges from USD 2 to 5 per night. We cannot get listed on Lonely Planet or their affiliate Hostleworld because they exclude us as we cannot afford credit cards because there would be nothing left for us. This is clearly restrictive trade practices being used by these parties who give the image of providing best value for travellers. I don't think most people know this, but if you are travelling in Europe and your flight is delayed or cancelled, they have to pay you additional compensation. According to an ad in the Chicago Sun Times, there is a law firm looking for American citizens who have been delayed or cancelled in their flights while travelling through Europe, probably for some type of mass lawsuit. I recently purcahsed American Express travelers checks in Chinese currency. They were not accepted at any restaurant or hotel. The only place that takes them is the Bank of China. Even there, the first branchIwent to would not take them. When I finally found a branch that would, the transaction required 3 people and 30 minutes. At a large branch in Shanghai, I had to beg tem to take the check. The transaction took over 30 minutes. After I booked a room in Ocean City, Md using Hotels.com I was sent two $20 Hotel Bucks vouchers. When we arrived in O.C. we werent given the beach front room that we paid for and was also put in a smoking room when we asked for non smoking. My friends and I stayed there this summer and paid cash for our room, and they took the money out of my debit card and have been unwilling to refund us out money. They wouldnt even bring us sheets for the roll out couch we had, when we asked about it the next morning. They replied, "We needed to come down and get out own sheets" What service ha.
