Paul Henry's window Installation
Chase Timer3 November 22, 2010
Set up date of work, but kept pushing it ahead until it wasn't started until months after agreed date of work. Will take short-cuts in doing the job correctly if you don't watch them. Does not give a line item detail of materials used, so you have to make sure you count the excess otherwise they take away the excess materials, but still charge you for them. Work half-days and take off whenever they feel like it. The job took twice as long as it should have. Will not be using them again. read full review »

Blue Tide Custom Homes, LLC
Jed November 22, 2010
Best Builders in Berkeley is also known as Blue Tide Custom Homes, LLC. License# 13VH03044900. We, regretably, paid in full in good faith before the job was complete due to economical challenges Blue Tide owner was having. Unfortunately the job was never completed. Now, over 3 months since the start of this project and over $35K for a full kitchen and 2 bath renovation, we are left not only with minor cosmetic incompletions, but NO upper cabinets as well as plumbing and electrical issues. We had to hire a plumber and electrician to finish... read full review »

Empire Gates
Toby November 22, 2010
The company installed the gates, besides the minor issues like pitted paint and dents, the Gap between the two panels are way too big to lock securely and looked funny. I called the Owner Dave, and he claims it is my wall not straight, (yeah right, bring your level here and drop your eye balls, there's no way for a wall not leveled to cause the gap only in the middle part not on the top and bottm side), even though the wall is not leveled, it is not my problem and you should notice that before you make the gate. I told him my... read full review »

GoBid
ASDe November 22, 2010
All of the items marked cancelled, preparing for shipment or expired were auction items that I had won and PAID FOR, including shipping charges but NEVER received. I spent months calling and emailing Goid asking that they either ship my items or reimburse me, and got nothing but excuses and lies, saying that the items had been shipped and then started stating that I needed to pay additional shipping charges before I could receive my items. They cancelled auctions at whim and even went so far as to accuse me of collusion and unfair bidding... read full review »

Arnold Supplements
Markeg November 22, 2010
I placed an order with Arnold Supplements over the internet, for 2 boxes of nutritional supplements. My debit card was charged the same day; I additionally selected 2-3 day priority USPS shipping. Over 10 days later, I have not received my order; I have tried calling this company over 5 times, all at different times of the day and I receive the same phone message that no one is available to take my call. I sent an email asking when I could expect to see my package. I immediately received an auto-reply e-mail stating that they would respond... read full review »

Woodburner
Michael November 22, 2010
Ordered a custom chair cover for outside swivel wicker glider. Paid 270.00 taxes included. They sent me a box made of material which doesn't fit my chair. It's quite upsetting to think I could've bought a bar-b-q cover with more character. It took 4 weeks for me to get my order. The internet order was at my door in 11/2 weeks. I purchased a wicker couch cover over the internet and Paid 69.99 which they quoted me 4??>??. Glad I didn't get that. I called the woodburner and all they said was they were sorry I didn't like the cover. read full review »

Energy Alternatives
Eduardo K November 22, 2010
To put it simply we feel that we were treated poorly by the owners and the tub repair person. We feel the repair invoice was padded using deceit and down right dishonesty. At no time were we contacted with the repair estimate, even though we asked Gary repeatedly for one. At no time were we given the opportunity to say No, thats too much for an old hot tub, dont fix it, Which, had we been contacted, as is normal procedure for every other repair weve ever had, we would never have consented to do. Our tub is 8 years old as your tech... read full review »

This firm sold me damaged goods and then refused to accept a return because of their policies. A quick search of the internet shows that they have a pattern of selling damaged goods to unwitting consumers. On May 24th I placed an order for a Scotsman ice maker (SCCG50M1BU 15). I promptly received a response that said to schedule delivery with their carrier. After this I received several messages that said "Your order has shipped and is currently on its way. Absolutley the worst service!! We had a ladies nite out this weeken and halfway going to the NYC from CT the sun roof fell on top of 5 ladies, we had to force the driver to stop the limo and put the sunroof on! To top it off it was freezing this weekend. The driver seemed incompetenant to fix the situation. The cd player didnt work, it smelled and it was dirty. Then on our way back, the tire needed air, he had plenty of time to fix that before we left the club, and he still didnt do it. Big Issue
Carl F November 22, 2010
As the problem -and fear- of scammers is such a big issue today, I had to make a section about scams all of its own. However, my first piece of advice is don't get obsessed with the idea that you are going to get scammed, this is about finding a wife. You probably clicked on this tab because, unfortunately, today men like you are as worried about getting scammed as you are about finding the right lady. I do not think you should worry about getting ripped off every time you write a letter, receive a phone call, meet a girl, etc. After... read full review »

Counterfeit Site Caper
Inferno November 22, 2010
The website looked real--those things are impossible for an amateur to fake, aren't they? Trusting offical-looking websites is an easy habit to develop. And for someone buying or selling a car, the authenticiy of an offical looking webiste like eBay is often the last thing they'd question. That trust could lead to an expensive mistake. One scam that's less well known than the Nigerian buyer classic or the Nigerian seler switcheroois the counterfeit site caper. A typical set up has the seller of a super bargain priced vehicle... read full review »
