This company should be shut down for predatory business practices. They sent my wife a book which we never asked for, never signed for, never gave any authorization nor agreed to any terms. They shipped the book then expected us pay to ship it back if we didnt want to be a part of their auto ship program!!! Then i get a letter from eastern collection corporation for 88.24. This company placed a $29.99 charge on my Credit card without my knowledge. I had never heard of them previously. When I called, they explained that they don't sell a product, just fitness advice. They claimed that the charge was originated by Adipose.com - another company I had never heard of - only a web site per My Fitness. They were very willing to remove the RECURRING charge and credit my account for the 29.99 billing. About a year ago, I noticed that several charges began appearing on my credit card: $29.95 a month for Credit Diagnosis, $19.95 a month for Deal Max and $1.00 each for Pharmacy Gold and Your Savings Club. I ordered BitDefender last week and got the online version. Turned out I had the Virus "Antivirus 2010" on my computer. They had me send them much info from my computer, but never sent me the fix as they said they were going to "in the next 30 minutes" -- that was five days ago. Since then I wait for an "attendant" on the phone line but after 6 minutes it disconnects me--this happened 3 times. I have tried their online chat support, but no one shows up. They charge you $998 to list your property. As soon as it hits their website there will be a bid for the following amounts ( $ 4, 500, $ 5, 000 or $ 6, 000) depending on your asked for sales amount. I could guess the amount even before I looked at the bid page. No way did they get a bid that large within an hour or two of the listing. These appear to be bogus amounts to entice you to sign the papers. It would be interesting to see the actual closing papers on property that they claim that they sold. I have had my Chase Visa Credit card since 1995. As they say, do the math: 2009 - 1995 = 14 years. On my January 2009 Chase Credit Card Statement I observed that my minimum payment amount was increased from $85.00 to $235.00 per month even though I have been paying $250.00 per month. I bought the above mentioned item and have never used it. It is a portable power source (charger) which is to be kept in a 'charged state' to be used in case of emergency. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE UNIT DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE, THEREBY RENDERING IT A$100.00 DOOR STOP. My husband and I purchased a new vehicle last saturday. It was a 2007 Ford Edge with monthly payments of $349. I purchased the product after seeing the infomercial on TV and unfortunately didn't check for any complaints on line first. This product is awful. The fabric it is made of is so stiff and uncomfortable it is impossible to wear for any length of time. The stitching started to unravel on the first washing. Julia -- the woman we spoke with was very personable and quick to respond to our questions. However, we feel she was very deceptive and unclear about the procedures of determining inventory and quotes. A man who said he was the owner came to my house to take an 'inventory'. This was apparently her father and he had a VERY THICK accent which was hard to understand.
