I've gone to Midas for a while now, because I live down the street from it, but every time I go and get something done it ends up a catastrophe. We had a reservation, guaranteed with a credit card for a 3 day trip to visit our daughter in Hollywood. We arrived late at night and were told they had overbooked so we would have to go to another hotel. They sent us miles away to a shabby part of town with a noisy bar right next door. This was very frightening to us as we are somewhat elderly and don't usually drive at night. The hotel had no carpeting or hot water. The hotel manager said this happens all the time. Warning! We had the same problem as sooo many others, but we had good luck with getting the bad HV board replaced free of charge even though our frig. was 4 mos. out of warranty. It seems to help if you mention this website when you call and tell them you know the scope of this problem. All in all, we were pleased with the service we received. We had a new board at our house within three days and installed the next. ASC can't seem to finish anything..I have been verbally approved for a modification to my loan and no one can finish this and you can't seem to escalate because they just pass you from department to department duplicating steps... they claim to have access to the same info, but it's clear they do not. I noticed an unfamiliar (pending) charge of $28.89 on my bank account on 1/17/08 from this company 555 Diet Challenge. I could not find the number anywhere. After looking this company up on the internet I noticed that others had filed claims about the same false charges. 1/18/08 I paid $8.00 for a car wash. There was no indicator for how far to drive in. The brushes to wash the body of the car didn't wash.
