Poor service from an institution who accepted Federal bailout funds
After repeatedly changing their interest rates, I called in to close my 5-figure savings account. I was informed by the first agent that they would charge me to transfer the funds to another institution, or I could wait 7-10 business days for a check. I couldn't believe it and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was transferred to a manager by the name of "Bryan" who told me they would not send a check because of the balance amount, nor would they waive the $3 transfer fee. He said that others did not like their service, but overall feedback was positive. Note this poor service from an institution who accepted Federal bailout funds!

We strongly recommend that you run the other way when it comes to Bank of America
I had a flood in my downstairs area of my home on 8-10-09. We are still waiting for a check from BofA, and each time we call are given a different answer. They are rude, put me on hold for 30 -45 minutes each call, and the only thing that seems to be consistent is "I do apologize for your inconvenience." We don't have carpet, are forced to eat out, and are completely out of our minds with frustration over Bank of America 's lack of professionalism, timing, and at my last count they had lost our paperwork 3 times. We have had to re fax our paperwork (94 pages) 3 times. We strongly recommend that you RUN the other way when it comes to Bank of America. They are a bunch of crooks!

We are out of money and the last people to have it just won't cooperate in any way
On 9/29/2009 I went to the Bank of America branch on Providence Rd. in Charlotte, NC to deposit my husband's long awaited unemployment money. The money had come in the form of a NC eppicard/debit card. My husband and I share a checking account at BofA. In order to use the card to pay bills we needed to get the money on the card into our accounts. The teller asked for my ID and BofA debit card. She had me call the eppicard to find out the exact balance; which I did in front of her. She took the eppicard and left the counter; no details were given as to how she was going to deposit the money from the eppicard. She returned a few minutes later and handed me a receipt. Before I stepped away she stopped and said she had just noticed that the name on the eppicard wasn't mine. I confirmed it was my husband's and that I was depositing it into our joint account. She then told me she had not yet deposited the money but had done a cash advance for the full balance instead. She then became very belligerent. She took the receipt she had given me back and left the counter again. After quite a while I saw her at another counter. I approached her to find out what was going on and she said she was going to reverse the advance. I told her not to but to ask for the manager instead. While I was waiting I saw another woman approach her and the two of them huddled at another counter for a while. Afterwards they approached me, handed me the eppicard and said the whole transaction had been reversed and told me they would have nothing else to do with it.
It is now 10/4 and the balance on the eppicard is still zero. Both my husband and I have tried numerous avenues to get Bank of America to tell us what happened to our money but they refuse. They contend that now it's a problem between us and the eppicard.
My contention is that if they were not authorized to do a cash advance in the first place they should not have done it. This was their first error. They tried to make the error disappear by reversing the transaction and washing their hands of the whole thing. However, the money has not been returned to the eppicard. The last transaction shown on the eppicard was the cash advance. Where is the money? Since they were the last people who held the money it was their responsibility to make sure they gave it back. Bottom line, we are out our money and the last people to have it just won't cooperate in any way to find out what happened to it. Any suggestions?

I would never recommend them and I can't wait to find a new bank
What happened to Customer Service? I would think that BofA would have better service. I have been a customer for 10+ years and I cannot wait to go and close my accounts. I was told that there was no reason to speak with a Supervisor as "authority couldn't do anything for me". I had to demand to speak with a Supervisor 12x's before I was transferred. Then when I did get to her, she told me she would take care of something that today they tell me she didn't make any notes of. In fact, the system showed that I couldn't verify my account, so I must have not spoken with anyone. Today, after speaking to another so-called Supervisor, when I asked to speak to someone who could help me, she stated that there was nobody else for me to talk to. Nobody in the whole flipping company?
I would never reccomend them and I can't wait to find a new bank!

This company is the most unethical there is
BOA home retention department is the worse I have ever dealt with. You can not talk to anyone that is working the modificaiton of the loan and they do not communicate with you. They lie, and have no concern for you. They foreclose on your home all the while they are telling you they are working on home modificaiton and the recording says please do not try to talk with us as this delays the process - process of what, them foreclosing on your home. Pull all your money out of BOA or anything that has BOA affliated. with it. This company is the most unethical there is.

Can not resolve a simple issue
I just refinanced with Bank of America in Diamond Bar Calif. To make the story short they did not lock in my loan as promised. I did get a letter fromt he VPresident of the Bank that they would honor a certain rate and would make good on a .475 loan origination. They took 3 steps in retifiying this problem. First no credit then a partial credit then another credit and still to this day have not given the amound promised on a company letter head statement from the bank. I have received one call from the CEO of Bank of America and have not to this date received a call back. I have written to the BBB in hopes to retify this problem. MY loan went thru but at this point I cannot trust the word or work and will not do my banking there at this point. What happened to the the Consumer Relation and Customer Service for which I have knowledge and expierence in for the 20 years of my life. Hoping to get the credit I deserve. Still awaiting a call to correct this complant. My refinance took 6 whole months to complete. This is not what people want to do in trusting in their operations.

debit card overdraftfee
Ongoing charge of high debit card overdraftfee of bank of America is causing many account holders (including mine)severe damage seeking. And another overdraft fee occurs if account holders can't pay negative balance in their account in 5 days.I have collected main informations regarding this bank's outrageous conduct-lawsuit case, consumers upset complaints and settlement case.
I can't attach files, so I am writing their web addresses here.

Denied Priveledge To Do Business Banking Elsewhere
Went to a bank in a town i just moved in and they told me i could not open a checking account due to the check system. Bank Of America should not be able to blackball a persons future banking with other banks of prefferred choice by placing your name and social security number in a ChexSystems...The first I heard the problem, but a hard and embarrassing way to find out.

I never want to set a foot in B of A branch
I banked at Countrywide for years with no problems. Not by my choice, accounts got moved to B of A. I went to a branch in LA area to transfer money between 2 accounts. A counter teller did not know what to do, "Please have a seat and wait for someone" OK> After 10 minutes, another woman told me they will mail me a cashier's check to deposit to another account. I told her that does not sound right. Her response, word to word: "I did not have to come out of my office to help you. I could just let you sit in that chair." I'm taking out my $. I never want to set a foot in B of A branch. They are so rude. I'll tell my friends.
