I would strongly advise against using this company. We booked car hire through Carjet and were allocated this rental company. On arrival at Palma airport we were told that the car wasn't available, even though we had booked in advance and notified the company of our flight details. We were asked if we wanted to pay more for an alternative car which we declined. Finally after waiting around for about 45 minutes a car was provided. This is the WORST auto loan experience that I have ever had in my life. I cannot prove that the Vandergriff Sales Department did something illegal, but sales Management would not show us the document that showed the MSRP of the vehicle which was used for our negotiation. Their refusal to show us the document, insistence that a "deal is a deal" and attitude that it is too bad that we didn't catch them convinced us that they didn't just make an honest error in the cost of the Toyota but may have done it intentionally. I traded in my 2004 f450 dump at the price of 22,000,my wife found a pre owned escape for$19,000 i found a2007 pre owned mountaineer for $28,000, which i thought was good, because the sticker on the window says $32,000. We had a truck that we wanted to donate since it was still running, but we no longer needed it. I got online to find places that took vehicles as donations (expecting to write off it's value). DonateCars.com stated that they gave the money for donated vehicles to Kars-4-Kids. Good charity, I thought. They also told me I could write off the blue book value of the vehicle and I would also receive a voucher for 3 days 2 nights vacation. I was notified by Cadillac of a safety recall on my car concerning the fuel line. I was told to take it to a dealer and have it inspected and repaired at NO COST. I did this and was told by the dealer that in replacing the fuel line there is a possibility they would have to replace the fuel pump and i would have to pay for that part of the repair. I then contacted Cadillac and was told the same thing. Dureing the last week of September, 2007, my future brother in-law phoned us, and told us of an 31ft Springdale camper trailer for sale at Canada 1 RV's. It had been hail damaged and fell on it's side in the wind, but explained that the price was good, and for our purpose's we should come look. During this rainy season i found that the co-passenger floor of my Santro Xing XG (purchased on Nov 2004) was filled with water. I showed it to authorized showroom (DSC, Hyundai Chennai, India) and they told me that it is the problem of blockage in cowl tab. Next day i was handed over my car with huge bill. On 10/20/07 I was notified by Cadillac that my fuel line was possibly defective and to take it to my nearest dealer and have it repaired at NO CHARGE 'I was told by the dealer that by repairing the fuel line it might possibly deamage the fuel pump abd i would have to pay for the replacement of a new fuel pump if necessary. I contacted Cadillac and they basically told me the same thing. What a rip off, i didn't create this problem and don't feel it is my problem since cadillac was the one that put in a defective, dangerous fuel line. I guess it's time to buy a Honda ! The extra/unnecessary work they performed was substandard and harmful to the vehicle. One of the various add-ons was a 3 step fuel system cleaner. Car had close to 120000 miles with the original plugs. The service manual states to replace plugs at 105000 miles. I rented a car 09/04/07 and returned the same day. The only outside damage was a mark on the front. I always look in the trunk and around it. When I returned the car ; the rep comes out of his mouth : I got to take your deductible. I said you are crazy. He found a less than 2 inch crack under the town car's bumper.
