To anyone who is considering buying a car at CARMAX, I would think a 100 times before buying through them! Here are the REASONS why: I bought my car 15 months ago at CARMAX located in Dulles VA. Within the second day my car had to be towed back to CARMAX. Unfortunately nothing was obvious while test driving it. The rotors had to be changed, the HVAC had to be replaced, an alignment and new breaks among few other things on the list which ended up costing them $8000 to fix my car!!! I was involved in an accident in january 2006. The insurance company secured a rental for me from hertz rent a car. After a few weeks the auto leaked oil all over my garage and i had stepped in it and tracked it all through my house. I wrote a letter to hertz and told them of the 10 hours that i spent coordinating the pick up of the car and the time that it took me to rent another car. One week after purchasing my dodge truck and spending $40,000+ the transmission wasn't shifting correctly and the dealership had to adjust the computer. Now @ 90,000 miles the computer went out and Dodge won't warranty it. The repairs are $900.00. My complaint is because the computer which regulates the transmission went out because condensation got in the computer and ruined it. My name is Julia I have a 99 ford f-350 with a power strok diesel, I have just recently had to have the # 8 Injector replaced twice and I am still having the same miss and rough idel, no power problem as I did before I replaced the # 8 injector. My truck only has 95,000 miles on it I should not be having this problem. I have been told that it is not covered under warranty because it is over 5 years old. I want to warn others who may use this auto transport company! Ken Mills, and Mills Auto Transport picked up the wrong car from my warehouse. They had no authorization to pick up the car they did, but their driver just took it. Then when they found out they had the wrong car they took it home with them to DUBUQUE, IOWA! Then I had to get a lawyer in Dubuque to get the car back because they refused to release it to me or return it even if I paid them what they were asking! Sooner ride Transportation....Atlanta, Georgia - main office Regional office for Oklahoma is in Oklahoma City. Don't ever transport a patient thinking you will be reimbursed. It may happen, but you are one of the lucky ones if it does. I drove 245 miles of which they only reimburse $.20 per mile but in my case not one penny. We purchased a car from Westco Cairns Pty Ltd in July this year. While we love our new car we have been thoroughly disgusted with the ongoing service that we have received from both the sales and service departments. We take this opportunity to warn all future customers to find another dealer. If this is unavoidable, be exceedingly cautious in your dealing with Westco, whether with sales or service. I had brakes put on my car at the Meineke at 3861 North Druid Hills in Decatur, GA. The shim came off the driver’s side brake. Mr. Brad Augutus refused to replace the shim despite the fact that it was within the warranty on the receipt. He then threw the shim in a garbage can behind his desk. I asked him to return the shim to me. He refused and told me to get it myself. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Lone Star Edition

I inherited a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Lone Star Edition from my father-in -law in August of 2006. I was just looking over the truck and noticed that the upper ball joint rubbers were busted open and all of the grease was gone. I got the truck at 24000 miles and now it has 28000 miles. The truck is over 3 years old and out of warranty. Does anyone know if there is any recourse from the factory about this? I undrestand this is a widespread problem on these trucks. Even though it is nearing fifteen days, I did not get my refile from Indane (Indian Oil Corporation) dealer. Farm Bureau drafts my account monthly for my insurance premium. I did not know that I needed to pay a $25 membership fee from last year. I went into the office over the summer and they said nothing to me about the $25. On Sep 1st of this year, Farm Bureau dropped my collision On Sep 1st of this year but I was not notified. I was in a wreck on Oct 20th and totalled my car. Farm Bureau has denied my claim because I did not have collision. The accident was my fault. Is there anything I can do??? read full review »

I bought a Hyundai Santa Fe new in 2001. I also bought a years worth of oil changes. There was, and still is, an intermittent problem involving the lights. The lights go off by themselves while driving. This problem was reported four times when the vehicle was brought in for service, however I never noticed that although I told the service manager he neglected to put it in the computer and being that this was an intermittent problem it could not be found. I bought 2 x160c color fishfinders for my local boat shop . I have used them 5 times and every time I use them the screen goes blank . You have to switch it off and on again than they work for 20min and same problem accours . My complaint regards a RV dealership in central Ohio. The company is RCD of Hebron Ohio. Just over a year ago we bought an RV which they represented profusely as a 2002 model. Throughout our negotiations on price for our trade-in they continued to lowball our trade and highball our new one. We did buy it and found to our dismay that the VIN # was a 2001. RCD made about $15000 on the deal. I tried to complain to Better Business Bureau and after lengthy back and forth found BBB was siding with RCD. I brought my Harley in for some additions, (chrome, etc) realizing they ordered some wrong parts I told them not to add them. not only did they charge me restocking fees for the wrong parts they ordered, but my bill was even more than the original estimate. then they installed the whole front end wrong. it vibrated badly, I brought it back and they said it was low tire pressure, when I had it checked somewhere else turns out, the bearings were locked solid and had major work done to remove them replace them and get it to not vibrate. read full review »

My husband purchased a truck from AFS that already had a lift kit prior to purchase. A few months ago, we noticed noises coming from the front end. We found out, after 1000.00 dollars of repair work, that out lift was welded on our truck frame. Many mechanics have said that lift kits have to be bolted on, not welded on! I received a letter from Hyundai Motor America that my 2000 Tiburon was recalled due to a potential crack in the exhaust manifold. I was stationed in Germany at the time, so I called Hyundai to find out what I could do.
