Big O Tires
I've been buying only Big O tires for years, but a new policy cost me $120 to replace a tire that should have been free under what I thought was their warranty.
What happened: Major blowout on the freeway, shattering 1/3 of the sidewall and splitting 1/2 the tire from the tread. Changed to spare, brought it in to Big O the next day and asked, "What can you do?" they said, "You're under warranty, free replacement" and sent me to a neighboring Big O that had the tire in stock. Sales person promised that the car has MP3 formated cd play capability and built-in millage calculator into navigation. Also, promised referral since a friend referred me. After one week of car owning, i learned that MP3 player and millage calculator are not available. Went to dealer. This company put an account of mine in collections and on my credit report for a 2001 Dodge that had been towed and stored for who knows how long. the reason I do not know how long was because I traded that car in on Oct 15 2005. But when I repeatedly called the company trying to explain myself I was put on hold and told that I was responsible for the car anyway and that i should just go ahead and pay the amount owed on the car. I have had geico for quite some time. Recently I received a cancellation notice. Said payment due on Nov 19. I called in and had my employer call stating I could not make a payment until the 29th at the latest. The representative said that would be fine the policy would not cancel they would extend it. I bought a SUV from them for $23k. The car contained no owner's manual and was missing an obvious part of its interior. I needed to bring the car in for service for this part and to get a hitch installed. During this 2 week time period my salesman had been fired/quit. I am having a Consumer No. 13492 with the URVASHI Indane Gas Agency, Sushant shopping arcade sushant Lok-I Gurgaon-122001. I booked for Gas cylinder on 27.11.2007 with an assurance that the cylinder will be delivered within 3 working days. But the same has not been delivered till date. I have personally seen the delivery van distributing the same around the area. I have to borrow cylinder from my neighbor for use due to such delay. We decided to take our car to blvd Imports on Wilkinson Blvd in the town of Lowell N.C. a few weeks ago to see if they could repair it. We described the problem, the car was stalling unpredictably from time to time and we wanted the problem to be fixed, unless the cost was going to be too much.

I rented a car in Panama City, Panama in Mid November, 2007. They guest service agent who was 30 minutes late opening the store, took an hour to rent me A DEFECTIVE CAR (it shook so badly that my teeth chattered). This Nov 07 I took my car to the local Mercedes Benz Dealership were it was purchased new and were the Western General Extended Warranty was purchased just before the factory warranty ran out. I purchased the warranty in March 07 and this was the first chance I have had to use. The car was found to need both Thrust Arm Bushings (control arm bushings) replaced. Western General denied the claim because Thrust Arm Bushings, as Mercedes Benz refers to their Control Arm Bushings, is not listed on their covered items.

I have had taken the Maruthi Auto card and referred two of my friends to purchase a maruthi aulto and gained auto points (2000). When i wanted to redeem the auto points for any service or spare parts no dealer is accepting. they are swiping the card and deducting the amount from the card instead of redeeming the points. This is nothing but fooling the customers. Pl. somebody can suggest me how to put up this issue to consumer court.

Advantage Rent-A-Car
My wife recently had a very bad experience with Advantage Rent-a-Car at LAX. She signed the damage acknowledgment form that showed pre-existing damage on the rear bumper. When she returned the car one of the workers jumped on the shuttle van and accused her of the damage, she told him it was there when she rented it and didn't have any accidents with the car. I bought a Maruti Suzuki Baleno in July 2005. One month back my care was not running as normal. On taking it to the Service Center i was told that the crank shaft has broken. The meter reading was 50,000 km. With the latest technology, the engines are not required to be open before 1.5-2 lac km. I am not able to understand how a car which has run only 50,000 km and has a broken crank shaft. I feel Maruti Suzuki has a long way to go to compete with the other brands available here. They really seem to be a local brand.
I would recommend everyone to think twice before buying a Maruti Suzuki car. I am really disappointed with Maruti Suzuki. read full review »

On January 28, while driving home from a friends house, I heard a "pop" from the bottom of my car and then lost compression in my engine. The car was struggling to idol. I limped the vehicle home, at high rpm and parked it in the driveway. Later that night, I decided to look at what might be the problem. After speaking to the adjuster, Dee Monaco, she informed me that she was denying the claim due to conflicting stories between both parties.
