I purchased a kitten which was very expensive 2 weeks ago from this breeder to find out today that the poor thing not only has an upper respiratory infection but herpes. Yes it can be treated but what bothers me is I called to let the breeder know seeing that it is highly contagious and either the mother or father of the kitten has and is spreading this viral infection and she informed me that it was no big deal. My Mother (who is 85) searched the internet for a blue merle male with blue eyes, who was registered with AKC & ASCA for breeding. She found a pup, who's parents had very impressive pedigrees, and the Sire was a beautiful black tri with stunning blue eyes. The Dam was a blue merle with blue eyes as well. In my experience, Connie's first priority are the pets she cares for... she refers to herself as an Auntie and lovingly refers to them as her "kids."
