Sue Garland who is one of the owners overcharged my credit card by 22, 000.00 . I only ordered a carpet runner and she charged me for all of these items that we had not decided upon. They lied to me, to GA consumer affairs, and the better business bureau, and the credit card company. Sue changed the dates on invoices and was caught in many lies. I purchased a Swivel Chair which turned out to have a defective Base. I contacted Jennifer customer services on approximately February 11 or 12th, 2009 to have them send one of their technicians to repair it. This company has also had there membership revoked with the St. Louis BBB for failure to resolve this issue. I am looking for advice on how to follow up on a builder that has not met his obligations. Graham Block from Build Solutions under took to do R300 000 alterations to my home in January 2007. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to be registered with the NHBR. He did the majority of the work he promised in the first 6 months, but after receiving final payment has been lax to complete the job. We had a new gas central heating system fitted in September 2008, comprising of a combi boiler, and seven radiators. Whilst the workmen were removing one of the old radiators, dirty rusty water leaked from the said radiator landing on top of our brand new wooden dining room table, which seats 8 adults. I purchsed a Polaroid 32" LCD w/DVD in Sept 2007. Four months later it quit working. I called Polaroid and they sent out a technician who had to replace the board. Three months later the DVD went out. I made due by connecting my old DVD player to it. However last month, Jan 2009 it quit working again. I called Polaroid and they told me there was nothing they could do since it was out of warranty. I took it to a tv repairman who said he could fix it for $400 but told me not to bother because without a cooling mechanism it would continue to burn out. I found a local company thru Service Magic, called Ben's Construction out of Tacoma WA. They did not complete the driveway that I had ordered replaced. They left equipment here, I had to complete the work, and clean up after them. I called the company many times but just kept getting the run around. I called service magic to complain but got no satisfactory response. As I returned the rental equipment, I was informed by the rental company that the compactor was actually stolen. We own a shag rug from Pottery Barn. The rug has been extremely smelly over 1 year and has been shedding for the time we had it. Eventually the weird smell went away and we thought the shedding would disappear also. I am vacuuming the rug every other day to keep the shedding under control. C&C Mattress sold us what was supposed to be new Sealy Latex mattress. The day it arrived they delivery men refused to allow us to inspect mattress. After they left it we opened the box and discovered the split down the side of the mattress. Was suppose to come in a two hour window of time, didn't and was late The carpet samples of the "best" carpet were a very poor quality. her first estimate of a 12x12 bedroom was $1500, then she knocked it down with discounts to $1080. Here's a consumer complaint not with the store I purchased this product from, nor the installer, but with the manufacturer! Beware that spending a lot for carpet doesn't translate to long lasting! In just 5 years a section of the carpet on my stairs has worn through to the backing. We received a bill from Direct Energy today for over $900. When I called to speak to a rep. she gave me my meter reading for the past 4 months. All of them were around/averaging 80, 000 except Decembers reading which was almost 800, 00 (over 100, 000 more).
