Cimate Guards started doing my parents home almost three years ago. It's still not done!!!(3-2010). Contracted to do stair case replacement. They asked for 50% up front even though I paid for all materials. Written proposal to complete in 3-4 days, it ended up taking 6. Asked for "an advance" (more money) to "repair tools needed to complete job" and again to pay workers at another job. Posts and rails were not sanded down prior to applying stain. I needed to replace my water heater and called Cabrillo Plumbing. They were very professional and came out on time to inspect and give estimate for the job. Being that water heaters go out unexpectedly, you need a new one right away. This company I feel over-charged me ( I would say...gauged me) on this matter. Avoid these people at all costs, after calling them out due to my AC failing they spin me a story about faulty evaporator units, leaking systems, and how my five year old system is beyond repair and I should get a new one for $6000. 3-9-10 Bathroom Drain clogged, Estimate $600. Tenant Paid final bill for $838.15 after an hour and a half's work from the ground cleanout PVC in front of the kitchen. I called and was told a Roto Rooter manager would get back to me, hasn't happened. I called several other plumbers and was quoted $300-$400. to jett out and degrease the sewer line. Roto Rooter comes in at over twice everyone else's price with an BILL 40% above that quoted.
