I was severely hurt by bug bites while sleeping and had to seek emergency medical care the next day. And suffered for the next week. As of January 2010 there has been no resolve. We arrived at the hotel expecting to have our confirmed cottage on the lake for our week at Algonquin. We arrived after a 14 hour drive to find they double booked and we were out of a room! We purchased an upgraded time share in Mexico almost 3 years ago. We are still registered as owners of this property even though we signed the necessary documents to have the transfer completed. Holiday Transfer sends out a notice just prior to Maintenance fees being due and doesn't leave the owners very much time to follow up. We used Allorenta (aka. Paris Sweet Home) to get an apartment a 2 week stay. To make a long story short, the first appartment we booked was not available after we booked it, so we had to book another right before we arrived. In the confusion, we wound up having to pay the appartment owner as well as Allorenta the same agancy fee (about 250 Euros) with a promise that we would get that back upon leaving. Alaska Airlines is price gauging their Alaska markets. Fares on flights in and out of Alaska continue to rise in-proportionately to fares in the lower 48. One might say that because they basically have a captive market in Alaska with very little competition, these higher fares might be based on supply and demand.
