Hotelclub
I also have a compaint with Hotelclub for booking an apartment in New York. They charged me 200 USD calling it a deposit.
Whereas their booking conditions describe this amount as an advance to secure the booking, the remainder to be paid at the hotel.
Then in NY the hotel charged me a separate bill excl. the 200 USD.
After several mails avoiding the matter, Hotelclub now calls these costs not a deposit nor an advance but reservation costs.
This is a ridiculous amount but if it had been termed reservations costs it would have been clear.
I find that Hotelclub misleads customers and treats them badly. read full review »
Best Western Inn
For our Society of Rheology annual meeting in October 2009, I went to our website to book two rooms for me and my students. I hit the link to Best Western and looked for a rate close to that on our website. I apparently hit a button to reserve two rooms for three nights that actually amounted to instant purchasing. We usually only make reservations in advance, not purchase. I had not finalized our travel plan at the time. CV. BHV Sewatama Internasional
This is a bad agency. We booked our holiday villa through them in Bali. They only keep chasing us to confirm our reservation. We actually later wanted to book through the villa directly when we find out the villa website. But we were unable to. The villa has told us we have to go back to them after they know Sewatama has made the reservation for us.

I am a first time customer on Icelandair to Reykjavik about 2 weeks ago. I must say that I was impressed by the quality of the cabins, which included the personnel entertainment system, which I felt was definitely superior to many other airlines I have taken. In addition, I was impressed by the CEO's note in the Icelandair magazine that your airline was actually the most punctual airline in Europe.

I was due to go on holiday to Cancun on 28 April 2009, due to the Swine Flu, this was cancelled, when I called Global Late Deals, to my utter shock I was told by Johnathan, the Sales Manager that he could not give me a full refund on the holiday - although it was physically impossible for me to get to Cancun! He said all he would do is book me another holiday and pay me back the difference, if I did not do this then I would have no refund.

Virgin holidays produced a preview brochure which they stated would have the cheapest price for next years holiday (2010) if you booked by 22nd April 2009. If the price is chepaer in their 1st edition brochure, they will lower the price we have paid. After looking on the net I noticed that now the 1st edition brochure is out, they have introduced a free disney "quick dinning plan" to all bookings, valid for the date I am travelling. The Central Hotel
I booked this hotel online through yell.com, it was advertised as 1 star with basic facilities for a single room including: single bed, heating, fridge, microwave, TV, coffee maker, kitchenette. However, what I was offered was a room with bunk beds, microwave and a chair so disgusting I would have thrown it on a tip. There was no TV, fridge, heating (of any sort) or coffee maker. I did not fany looking for the kitchenette as the smell of the place was awful. I chose not to stay as this was well below standard.

I booked and stayed for one night B&B in a Premier Executive room instead of the usual deluxe double. Disappointed that the only 'upgrade' from a deluxe was a bigger bed and a sitting room with TV, no fluffy dressing gowns or even complimentary newspapers. The cost was £94 B&B per room. Our trip began at Chicago o'here airport, we had purchase our ticket online with Chipoair, we were told that we were allowed to take 2 bags of max 50 lbs each per passenger. But at the ohere airport AA charged us 50 us dollars per bag per passenger extra, because AA wouldn't allow us more then one bag per passenger. I argued little but they never agreed. I have received E-Mail from Jazeera Airlines base in Kuwait, stating that if passenger will Buy a ticket between October 25 till October 29, 2009, Jazeera Airlines will not charge for Tax. I moved into Waterside holiday park in Corton on the 13 june 08 and was told Housing benefit would be paid. The manager at the holiday park informed me that the park was a 12 month residential park so I was happy to move in with my two children. After two weeks I was informed by housing benefit that I will not be getting any housing benefit as Waterside holiday park was not residential and should only be open from March till beginning of December and they should not be charging council tax. Stayed at the Lawrenceville Red Roof the night of 10/17/09. Sheets and pillow were stained and had hair on them from previous guest. Pillows lumpy. Sheets threadbare. Big cobweb on ceiling. On 17th October, I received the call from Kingfisher airline customer care (Pune office) that my flight (Jaipur to Bangalore – IT 107, Reservation Code; NGFRLA, Date of travel: 20th October 2009) has been cancelled and asked me to either get the refund or book the flight for 22nd October and that phone rep is also not courteous and not even giving me the time to think.
