I recently returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic. I stayed at the Oasis Hamaca hotel. It was a horror. 1. Not given the room type requested but told that they would the next day 2. Room change given to something far worse 3. Bugs everywhere (bed, sink). Lay down a blouse and bugs covered it in minutes. Hotel knew this and offered to fumigate. 4. Luggage rummaged through. I called Milwaukie Inn 1 week prior to Thanksgiving and made a reservation with my credit card. Within an hour I cancelled the reservation due to a change of plans. FYI their policy states you can cancel up to 24 hours before arrival. After seeing the charge on my credit card I called and they refuse to credit my card because they said I never called to cancel. Priceline has very bad service. When it comes to name your own price, what you are not told is that they actually pick the times for you. Your story is all too familiar! We experienced the same sales scam. Your first step is to google PROFECO. They are a Mexican gov't office that handles all these timeshare scams. Then contact your nearest Mexican embassy and tell them how this hotel has left a bad taste of the country in your mouth and will never go back or recommend anyone to visit. We had an account with Moneris Solution for over 3 years and we decided to go with another company because we got better deal. We mailed them our request but no response and then we faxed them no response.They said we had to phone. When we phoned them they said they charging us a fee of $300 for cancelling the account. The staff is very rude and not willing to work with you to accomodate your needs, even if they are at fault. They are also very unresponsive to customer inquiries. I have been mistreated by these people on the internet. Once I told them I have another quote from another agency, their attitude changed dramatically. I bumped into them on yahoo search, and they have multiple domains. So wherever you search someway or the other you fall into their trap. Just found out that lastminutetravel.com had charged me almost $200 on my credit card. I didn't recognize this charge so I filed a dispute with American Express. They looked into it and decided to side with the vendor. I asked what the charge was, and they said it was a hotel reservation with Tourico Holidays. I had never heard of this before and I certainly had not reserved anything through lastminutetravel.com nor had ever gone to a Tourico Holidays (not even sure what that is).
