I recently cashed in some miles for travel from Asia to UK. I made the booking over the phone and was told it would be 60, 000 miles plus taxes etc. I have since been charged 80, 000 miles as - apparently - the rules changed on April 1st. I have always paid on time and have the card for about a year. I went to use it the other day and it declined which shocked me since I have a very low balance and well away from my credit limit. I am moving from Manitoba to Nova Scotia in the near future. Although the move and all associated cost are paid for by my employer, I am still chosing to fly West Jet. The final straw for me was the compared costs of flying pets. West Jet charges $50 per animal while Air Cannada chrges $105 per animal.
