Yes High Tech Institute is full of incompetent, lying employees! I was approved for a loan, and they failed to send in the promissory note paperwork, and my loan was canceled. I bought transition lenses and was pleased with them until they started to develop some type of pealing along the edges less than a year later. I took them in and they gave me new lenses only to have the new lenses develop the same problem less than a year later again. They replaced my defective lenses with pair of new defective lenses and the employee admitted they were defective. The manage said too bad, we replaced your lens once and will not do it again. My father who is 83 still lives in his home. When Guy Smith called to inquire if they could come out to do an annual inspection I agreed. They were running a special to check out the unit for $75.00. I was shocked when I got to his house and saw they had gotten him to sign a contract for over $7, 000 to replace the heating and air conditioning unit. I purchased the RIDDEX product on 8-30-2008 paid for express shipping. The charged my credit card right away. Sent my order to another address not even in the same town we live in. When I called after 3 weeks of waiting they told me there was nothing they could to help me because they sent it out to an address even though it wasn't my fault it was a computer error on their end. I was charged $221.00 on my credit card for cancelation on service when I never canceled service. I was not warned of cancelation and have paid for services regularly. The owner said my fiance told him to cancel our service. The service is in my name, I signed the agreements, the credit card account is in my name and I am the customer they are doing business with. They were not authorized to do this and did it without any notification. My fiance never told them to cancel service and neither did I. Tweeter subcontracted with Elwin for in-home repair for our 50 inch tV that is still under warranty. Elwin left a message on our answering machine that said they would send a service tech between "2 and 6" tomorrow and that we should call before 8:30 if this was not convenient. I decided to take a 1/2 day off work to meet them at the house. By 4:45 they never showed. I called and they said they were not coming. That our service call was canceled because we did not call. Do not take your boat to this business for repairs. They will bill you weekly for thousands of dollars. They overcharge, double bill, and never finish the work on your boat. I don't even believe that MagellanRx is a real company. Just a scam site that lists a fake inventory, keeps your money and delivers nothing. I ordered a tube of Nizoral cream from them. They posted that the item had been sent on a certain date, but there are no other details. The email address they give for customer service and message box at the site are never answered. After waiting for nearly three months, I finally filed for a chargeback from Visa CheckCard Services and just got my refund. Ashworth is cheap, but be prepared to spend an average of 30 minutes on hold every single time you call them. I have had something go wrong on my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th courses on my program.
