I called Verizon Tech support after being disconnected in the middle of working from home for the umpteenth time. I was not reconnecting with the usual techniques (restart modem, reboot, etc). Tech support was very nice at first but persisted in asking about the modem hardware and refusing to offer tech support when the hardware was not Westell. I had my first experience with Certigy when I was totally humilliated at a Walgren store. When my check was declined, I made them let me call Certigy and made everyone in the store wait while they asked all the confirming information and still would not clear my check. The plastic washer drum casing failed after two years use. Water flowed over electrical parts and onto the floor, creating an electrocution hazard. The company has redesigned this part but has not issued a recall and will not make the repair. They have offered me the part free, but the labor will cost as much a new unit! I unknowingly found out that the company I leased my equipment through had a non-cancelleable 48-month lease term -- supposedly. Not even a week after obtaining my equipment I discovered a much cheaper way to process cards that made much more sense for my business. My client bought several pairs of shoes from them and needed to return them. The only option for returning is to get a return authorization number on the website, but the option was unavailable for these shoes even though we tried to return them within the 20 day time frame permitted for returns.
