My wife and I recently moved into a Condo in Maryland. We were shocked to receive our first energy bill of ~300 dollars for the first month. I recently purchased 2 Halogen Head lamps from Advance Auto Parts, the sales person was polite and asked if I needed two or 1. I stated that I should probably get two because I was not sure if both Higbeams were out or not and told him if it doesn't work I will just return them. I did a criminal check on someone I was going to hire. www.privateeye.com promises a lot, takes your money and gives you nothing. They show marvelous samples of the info you are going to receive. When the requested info comes up, there are "no details". I was charged $45.90 for "no records found" even though he man I was searching is on probabation and admitted it. Symantec Customer UNservice! Symantec double charged my account when I ordered an on-line download. Because of this, my mortgage check bounced. It took them over 3 days to respond and refund the money! Yesterday (8-13-2007) afternoon, I went to a Long John Silver restaurant and ordered a side of clams with my meal. I found a dead uncooked cricket at the bottom of the box of clams. I took it back to the restaurant and talked to the manager. The manager had the nerve and gall to try to offer me more food, to replace the bad food I had gotten. I recently subscribed to the website swingular.com for a 1 month subscription. I have since tried unsuccessfully to cancel this membership and am now being charged monthly from my checking account. The website contains a link for membership cancellations but the link does not work, you receive and error message each time you attempt to cancel. We hired All My sons to move us about 15 miles to our new house. We hired three men and a truck. There were four men that showed up at our house and the "Supervisor" stated the company only sent three men but it was really a four man job and he had brought another friend along and wanted us to pay for it. We have a king-sized bed which we bought from Select Comfort in 2004. It has recently started to lose air in one side. When I called the company they informed me that they had no repair service. Something needs to be done with the lost and found department at the Regional Transportation System of Southern Nevada. I am talking about Citizen's Area Transit buses. We had called this company and told them we were changing gas companies and not to bring us anymore gas. We would contact them when we got down to 10% so they could pick up their tank. We told them we would not be participating in their lock-in price contract, a full 2 weeks before the end date. We took delivery of a Stearns & Foster Bond Street King mattress and box springs December of 2005. It was sold to us by Finger Furniture Stores at their Sugar Land, Texas location. This mattress was recommended as the new top of the line set by the salesman. We purchased a GE labeled hot water heater from HomeDepot. Over a 30 day period, we had 10 days of hot water. GE sent a plumber out 3xs to replace parts several times. GE told me it was electrical. My complaint isn't with Peter's but with Chrysler. I have had my jeep at Peter's one week. Not because they can't fix it but because they can't get the part to fix it. Alamo Bedding will rip you off. They do not honor their contracts and if you try to get them to honor your contract, they will say you did not follow their guidelines. Like many of the complaints noted, I ordered a Trial of Houdai (sic?) which included a "free" bottle, with the order of one month supply of the stuff (2 bottles). I had my Ford Explorer serviced for an oil change. They have a quick turn time, but they lack in the quality of service. First---they did not check the air pressure in all four tires. Second---they did not vacuum the interior floors. Third---they did not clean the windows. This is all stated in their policy which is supposed to be performed during the oil change.
