Beware when you rent a car from Europcar from New Zealand. I rented a car from Queenstown from 05-16-09 to 05-21-09, and I got ripped off. We were flying in from Omaha w/ twins (11 months old). Any more it cost so alot to check car seats so we rented some from Budget. The were so ancient I think they were a least 15 plus years old. To meet safety regulations they need to be no older than 5 years. They were extremely dirty and stored in a small storage shed next to the garbage. This is tricky. I receive a violation because I was parked at a zone that was illegal at a certain time. Violation: No stopping/anti-gridlock zone. Sign was posted near by and said: Tow away, no stopping 4pm to 7pm. i was issued a citation at 4:16 PM...then at 4:25PM the tow truck came. Today I went to a BP gas station near my work on my lunch break. I pre-paid inside for $20 worth of fuel and I also purchased an item inside the store. I was set on ACH recurring debits for car payments. Our checking account was compromised and closed immediately. Car payment wasnt due until 10 days later so I called them immediate to tell them they couldnt use previous checking and tried to offer the new one but was told I had to go online and change info. I had received a call from our fleet manager asking for our receipts and records for a particular federal vehicle to find out why there were services optained in another state that was out of our juristiction. Come to find out that they had called GSA recieved a repair order and charged for repairs and services for my vehicle that was never received.
