I brough my truck to wes ward auto to get a new muffler on it. I pay them $580 and they turned around and shorted out one of my O2 sensors so the check engine light would come on. I paid them for a new muffler for my truck and they turned around and put one on it from some other car. After driving home my check engine light came on so I scanned it with my diagnositics scanner. I had an auto financed in 2002, paid it off in 2004, and received my Certificate of Title from the finance company. The Title is stamped "PAID IN FULL", General Motor Acceptance Corp. It is signed, illegibily next to the words "lien released by", and it is dated 11/19/04 on the appropriate line below the signature. Sounds right, looks right. I purchased an extended warranty from Heritage via my auto broker when I purchased my new car in 2003 (it's a 2004 model). I paid over $1700.00 for the contract and just in the last few months encountered an issue with my car that fell under this warranty. My dealer contacted them to get an authorization number and find out the coverage amount before having the repair done. We traded in our 2002 Nissan Altima and they were supposed to pay us $6300 towards our payoff on our loan and then we rolled the remainder of the money into our new car loan. A debit for the full amount was taken from my credit card and 2 weeks before taking the car a £ 670.00 deposit was also deducted from my credit card. I canceled my extended warrenty over two months ago, because I sold the car. I purchased a new car and didn't need it.
