They send you a postcard to cancel 2 wks prior, but even if you call like I did it doesn't matter. They charged me 233.00 for magazines. And know don't answer phone, automated without account numbers and don't have that either. Watchout for credit cards that give points away for free magazines to try. Bogus they get their money one way or another. Know in this terrible economy, does anyone really need 15 magazines a week? I never knew I was ordering this software when I downloaded Firefox. When a charge for $81.58 appeared on my credit card bill we questioned the charge. I signed up for the magazine club in 2006 told me I would pay for 12-15 months, then I wouldn't have to pay and would still recieve magazines. Then i was such a good customer they want to extend my service, I told them I did not want to pay anymore for magazines. And they said that I had agreed to this and they would charge my card. In April, 2009, I bought a DVD from Smart Savings Center, paying by American Express credit card. I signed up for PC Magazine download utilities a few years ago. I haven't downloaded a utility in 2-3 years but they have my credit card number and automatically bill $19.97 annually.
