Tube assemblies on dishwashers have cheap clamps that don't hold the tubes tight and it floods your house. Tube falls off and you don't know it since the flood is under the sink area and corrodes the wood. The technician agreed. They need to get rid of their cheap clamps that are loose and pop off, and put the product together correctly and not charge the consumer for their goofs and defects, regardless of their 1 year warranty. On October 27th I ordered a 38" Monte Carlo Fan and hadn't received it but during that time I was told that it was to large for my ceiling so I reordered a smaller 28" Colony Fan. I still haven't received it and I have called several times. They did tell me there was a backorder and the item would be shipped on Monday Jan.26th. I never received confirmation of this. Please learn from my experience. I bought a microwave and was given a newly packaged one. The box was in perfect condition. Drove home 2 hours away from Bunbury and took out a terribly damaged microwave. Two phone calls and numerous emails asking Good Guys to allow refund or exchange when next in Bunbury. I was informed no in many ways and denied access to discuss the problem with the manager. I was rudely informed that I must return the microwave within 2 weeks, or else they will not exchange it and then after that time it is my responsibility to arrange repairs under warranty. read full review »

Our water & sewage bill has gone over the $700 mark. In the past our bill was running a little over $200. After calling the water department they say they can not look at it until March????? We ordered 2 chairs (to be made) on Oct. 11, 2008. We were told that we must pay for the furniture in advance ($584.55). The purchase order states that the furniture will be in the store in 8 - 10 weeks. We kept calling, no one would call us back. We left many messages. My husband and I have recently moved into the area and we will be starting our company here in Ocala FL. We have been given the run around with the electric company. The company that was in this buldg before us was a lighting company and they left a huge bill of about $1800. So when they told us our deposit was going to be $1040 we thought that was to high and that they wanted us to pay for the company that left that old bill. We did a job for AMPCO, and only received a fraction of the total amount due. We have been waiting for well over 6 months for the balance due to us. They recently purchased a new excavator for over $100k and yet, they still can't pay their bills. The owners are very immature and have a hurry up attitude, that causes equipment damage, property damage, and soon will result in employee injury or worse. I would definitely think more than twice of choosing to work with or contract with AMPCO. There are too many liability risks involved. read full review »

I responded to an add in my local paper about and opportunity to make 800 dollars in sales. The add itself seemed fishy but in need of a job i gave them a call. I was interviewed a couple of days later and was in the interview with David Weinstien (Crook) for 2 minutes and i was hired and had a job. We have been customers of Heritage Propane for over five years. We were on 'monthly fill' the entire time - this is where they come out and check it and fill as needed. Because of hard economic times, we requested that our service be put on 'Will Call' service. This is the service that requires us, the customer, to call when we get to a certain level and request gas. Ordered a Futon from these people and it didn't fit so they are making me ship it back. It is going to cost twice as much to ship it as to buy it. Apparently there are a billion different size fulls. Every GE Appliance I ever had has never lasted more than 4 years. Actually, usually they break within the first year and a half. This is the longest one of their products has lasted, almost four years! for only 600 bucks wow, what a deal. Seriously, how does a company stay in business making such horrible products? Poor installation of windows and lousy customer service. Typical story of once you pay, you never hear from the sales person again. After purchasing installation of new windows in 2008, I called company for repair of defective parts. After waiting more than five months, company continually refuses to honour their warranty. Warning to those planning on installing a gas heating stove, and dealing with this business in particular. What began as an annoying experience of endless repairs and unreturned phone calls, ended with finding something more disturbing. I also got ripped off by this company. I paid my deposit of almost $1300 by check and doubt I will ever see any of my money. I was also given a great price, and was told that I had to let them know that day to get the special deal. I'm also sure that they knew what was going on when they put this pressure sell on us. However, I live in the local area, and Mr. Charlie Thiede, the owner of the company, is going to wish he was never the big publicity hound he seemed to be. Do not use Consolidated Contractors. Company representative (Lamar Wilson) professional and courteous. The company did good work and provided contract with details of obligation to fix any defects in workmanship. During each phase of the project, payment was made. Everything was visually ok immediately after completion. I purchased a Groehe shower set about 3 years ago for a guest bathroom that is used infrequently. A few weeks ago the shower head broke (fell apart). It is suppose to have a lifetime warranty. I contacted Groehe customer service. After waiting on the phone for over 1/2 hour. I was treated very rudely and told they could and would do nothing for me. The prodict was top end and fairly expensive and the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. I also visited a local plumbing supply house who told me that Groehe quality is poor. We purchased Snow Thrower in Canadian Tire at Yonge and Steeles. After 2 days we decided to return this product, because our friends have same machine and it works very bad . We never opened that box. But in the store they told us, that this machine have been used, and refused to accept return of this merchandise, wich is strictly against their policy .This is a shame for a company of this caliber to have such bad business practice. My old Kenmore Dryer broke so I needed a used dryer. I went to Accord Appliance on Roscoe and purchased a slightly used Kenmore dryer. Mark/Mike the owner was supposed to deliver it at 8pm the following day. He NEVER showed up to deliver my appliance! I called three times to confirm the appointment and he never returned my calls. We installed Bruce Traffic Zone Flooring in a large portion of our home. One of the reasons we chose this product was the the 25 year moisture warranty. We now have swelling at most of the joints and in one bathroom some complete peeling of the top layer. It took 6 months for an inspector to come out, and his report states that the problem is due to the way we cleaned the floor. We maintained the floor like the warranty stated. This company advertises one price and charges a much higher price when the order is placed. They advertise buy one get one free, but want to double the shipping charges also. So, a vegatable peeler, buy one get one free was: $14.99 each plus 6.99 S&H, then add $4 sales tax. They then ask you if you want two. When you say yes, thinking that they are referring to the buy one get one, they double the order. What I thought was going to be a $30 sale ended up being $61.94 with a non-refundable S&H!
