I was told by the sales person when I joined up that if I was transferred out of state or lost/quit my job I would have no trouble canceling my membership. I was recently laid off and explained my situation to Court South. Their reply was basically, "too bad." The contract is vague in some areas. I recommend that you DO NOT sign the contract when you visit. Take it home, and review it thoroughly. They also make a big deal about their 'movie work-out room.' I found this to be useless. I received my free sample in the mail while on vacation. During that time I was called 3 times by these people and each time I told them I did not want anything but the free sample. When I got home and checked my bank account I saw a pending charge of $87.13. I immediately called the 1-800 number and it would a circle around the menue, never connecting to costomer service. At first glance the place looks awesome, and new, but don't let the look fool you. When me and my roommate moved in we were excited to move into a place that was new and had never been rented to anyone. We have had plenty of run-ins with the management. They are the most sneaky and underhanded bunch of people I've ever laid eyes on. We paid our rent on time every month, and they charged us for late fees anyway. Our 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 79, 056 miles developed an over heating problem on May 30, 2009 after driving about 95 miles fom o.c. to palm desert.
