Folks, This company is out of business as of August. I bought what I thought were 100 2x rated DVD-R discs from them. Well I actually got the merchandise from them (Some people have not been so lucky from what I read here)But they only record at 1x That's a huge time difference when you consider that it takes over an hour to write a 4.5GB disk at 1x. They had a money back guarantee but that appears to be worthless at this point. read full review »

Horrible service! I ordered a computer game to be shipped as a gift to a friend overseas and paid for 'express' shipping. Got a confirmation email but then CD Universe decided to hold my order for phone validation of the address WITHOUT INFORMING ME. Found out about this weeks later when I called the friend and discovered he had not received his gift. Called CD Universe and was promised that the item would ship out the next day. Amazing company. I have lost count of the number of times I have ordered from them, and every time has been the same wonderful experience. Their prices are very fair and they have a great selection of CDS and DVDS from Japan. The shipping may be considered a bit pricey, but it's worth it for excellent service. They always fulfill your order to your expectations. Even once they shipped a CD out that said 2-4 weeks nearly the next day. Great customer service, their customer system is real time, and shipping is quick and items are packaged well. Horrible Customer service. I ordered a 340w Enlight case from them and was sent a 300w. Just because I did not contact them the same day as I recieved it due to not having the parts yet to put in the case, he(Brian Stacy) said I would have to send it back and pay a 20% restocking fee, he blames it on me not reading correctly when if fact it was an error on their part. We ordered a bed from Wes on July 30, 2008. He also told us that we had to pay in advance which was approximately $1, 600. The bed was supposed to be in at the end of September. It never arrived. This was my first order from them and am pleased with the service. Item shipped promptly and was well packaged. They responded quickly to my email that I sent them as there was some confusion about a tracking number (I received two for the same order and thought perhaps it had been split but that was not the case and they got back to me with which was the proper tracking number.) If I hadn't read some of the few positive reviews on this site, I would think it was a total scam. I ordered a VGA cooler & fan from them on the 27th of August; no invoice, no shipping confirmation, nothing. My husband and I went to Dr. Brannon for 3 years and unfortunately had invisalign done through him during that time. He does not care about his patients only making money. I am firm believer in telling others if some one is very bad or very good. He did little to nothing on my husband invisalign and after he left the new dentist had to fix everything he did wrong. I too am a victim of the free offer of Acai diet pills. They were offering it for only the shipping of $4.95. However, when I received my bank statement, they had also charged me $89.31 for additional products that I never received nor did I authorize. I have tried to call the numbers listed both on my credit card statement and the website from which I ordered but they are fakes too. They offer price match less 10%. After wasting much time with these people, they refused to honor their price match guarantee. I do not recommend anyone do business with them nor waste any time whatsoever with them or their website. Their price was $94.99. I found the price elsewhere on ebags for $64.79 with no tax and no shipping (I did an order to verify it). They advertise 250++ at their "newest location" which is the "#1 volume dealer in the USA". You get there and it's a tiny lot with maybe 50 cars tops. I asked where the others were and was told that they are at another location. I asked when I could see them and was given the "come inside and I'll get the info for you." I placed an order over the phone before they changed there retail around and talked to a gentleman named Jason Taketa. I ready the darkest arc guys remark and just wanted to speak the truth. I didnt really understand a lot about speakers and Jason Taketa was very knowledgable and helpful in finding the right speaker for me. My card was captured by my banks ATM. I called and found their was fraudulent activity on my account. WM agreed to close the account and send me a new card. I paid them $19.95 for 2 day shipping. It arrived today. I called the 800 # to activate the card and as I type this message I have been asked my personal information by 6 different people, who put me on hold, transfered me for a total timeframe of 43 minutes and still no card activated. It is no wonder businsses, such as WaMu are having hard times in this economy. We have people that are in India handling my situation. No wonder this country is going to pot! After reading all the negative reviews I was very skeptical, but the very attractive prices on the auto parts that I was interested in made me decide to go for it. So I had my order ready to send online but had a question to ask them about one of the parts in the order. After a 2 minute wait (not bad) on the phone, a very kind and knowledgeable person answered all my questions and informed me that I could save another FIFTY DOLLARS by ordering on the phone with her (no problem there). I ordered a celeron 566 pre-overclocked to 850 with a powerleap neo S-370 adapter from cantek. After having to pick up the CPU from the UPS warehouse because i wasn't here to sign for it, the CPU did not work. I followed their installation instructions clearly and made several calls to their tech support. I returned the CPU for exchange and they claimed I damaged the CPU and would not issue a refund or exchange. I did a charge-back with visa but cantek lied to visa claiming I damaged the CPU and got the charge-back reversed. Now I am stuck with a worthless CPU and I am out $200. read full review »

Calumet.co.uk worst store ever? Bought a Sigma 10-20 Lens For Canon mount from them, they filled my address wrong, and sent the lens trough 3 different companies to deliver...which was hell to track. This site and store should be closed down forever. They will misprint the info on purpose to decieved the consumer to sell their product and then cut off communication. Suggestion, contact the BBB, contact Consumer Protection Agency in their state and your state, contact your credit card company and contest the payment and file a claim in a small claims court and ask for the max instead of what the product cost. Be careful. This company sent me standard 40 pin ATA33 cables when the web site and invoice said ATA133. Just for the sake of arguement I benchmarked them and they were in fact ATA33. I called them up and they said "Our engineers tested them...blah, blah blah). I had it sitting next to a real ATA133 round cable and the difference was obvious. Had some BZBOY ram go bad. Their gaurantee is worthless as the replacement ram is not gauranteed to work as noted in their email below. Buysoftware apparently has the orders processed by Techwave. This extra order processing can add 2 days or so to the normal ground shipping times. However, I have ordered different items from www.buysoftware.com about 6-7 times now. Hard drives, Memory, In-Win cases, and monitors. I have never had a problem with any order. They have all arrived as expected. I've never needed to contact their sales or tech support people, so I cannot comment on them.
