I was being charged monthly for a product/service that I did not authorize. But, with a little persistence I got a refund 3 months later!!! This complaint is regarding Ron Johnson, owner of Makeitorbreakit.com, who operates his business from his home in Las Vegas (or was at the time of my observations) and pays his employees under-the-table. We purchased insurance in August 2008 for a trip to Aruba in June 2009. I became pregnant and will be 32+ weeks at the time of our trip. My husband, 4yr old son, and I all got the insurance for the trip for this reason. I got a letter from my doctor explaining she advised me to not travel. The recruitment practices of this company and the underhanded tactics they use when an employee quits should be illegal. Not only do they request that the employee repay the entire amount they have earned with interest but they report the income the employee has earned twice to the IRS in order to cause havoc to them if they do not pay them back. It has come to my attention that this rescue is no longer legitimate, if in fact it ever was. The woman who runs it, Nicole Morris, takes donations of money, items, and foster care for horses. This is not a registered non-profit, and no accounting of donations or finances is ever released. The rescue used to run off of a rented property. Bought a RC Helicopter here that had problems out-of-the-box. After several atempts to get it fixed, a statement by the owner that he would replace it if they needed to, and just short of a couple of hundred dollars in repairs because the thing had problems, I was told to "go to hell" and to "pick it up or it would be put out front and left there."
