I bought a wood stove for my home from Northern Tool. It weighed over 500 lbs and the company knew I was a private consumer. They charged me $85 to lower the lift gate to move the stove to the ground. Then they informed me, at the time of the delivery, that the truck would leave my stove out on the street. I was sold on Tough Shed but Amazing Buildings had a similar building for quite a bit less. There were enough differences in the materials and design that I paid an extra $2K for design and material changes to make sure the building would last. After 2 months, the doors would not even close. I called Rodney and sent emails for another 2 months asking for help. When he finally responded, all he wanted to discuss was more money and he still never came and fixed the doors. Do not use this company. I have a 2006 Chevy Uplander. The trim that runs down each side of the vehicle has (rusted/discolored) from one end to the other on both sides after only 2 years. The vehicle has 50, 000 miles due to the distance to my work. After receiving payment from Paypal, it took over 3 days to provide instructions which involves downloading a program. When attempting to download the program, the web site stated "Page Not Found". The Jamis Commuter was manufactured in China. The spokes on my 2006 bike with less than twenty miles of usage, started breaking, even when it was stored in the garage, not being ridden. I contacted Jamis, no response. I spoke with the dealer. We have a son incarcerated at Vienna Illinois. We have him calling collect from time to time through this company. Now they say that they can block his calls because our daughter who lived in Iowa had a phone bill years ago with Qwest that wasn't paid. That was when she was married. I bought my wife some hoop earrings from Gordon's Jewelers online. She loved them, but the clasps were weak and after only two days of wear one fell out and was ran over in a parking lot. We started out at %7.99 for a Corporate business card Then out of the blue 4 months later (even tho the rate was supposed to be a fixed rate ) the interest went to %30 . From January 26 until the present today's date is 9/13/08 I am being charged $19.95 for something I never authorized. I purchased WuYi Tea and that was when it started showing up. The WuYiTea had it's own random charges of different amounts sometimes twice a month. I went in to return a cake decorating item that was defective and the owner told me that if I had any common sense I would know to call in when it didn't work. When it was purchased, she told me how to apply it, which I did what she said. When I tried to return it, found out that there was much more to it then what she had told me. I applied for a homeowners insurance policy with Amica and was denied coverage simply because I foster dogs for animal rescue organizations. The fostering I do has been minimal - three over the past five years. Two were small mixed breeds and one is a border collie. I work through organizations that are registered non-profits with the IRS and all dogs are temperment tested before coming into rescue. I understand there is a 30 day return for a full refund policy however, the 30 days starts at the day I ordered the SAMPLE. I purchased an Ideal Spa Cover, Inc vinyl replacement cover for $430 just over 1 year ago. Just this past week, I noticed that ALL of the handles and tie downs (made of webbing material) just absolutely disintegrated! The company warranty says that they will fix the vinyl but that I have to pay for shipping BOTH WAYS which is going to cost me another $40-50 for fixing their defective cover. Horrible customer service. Danner gave them a credit so that they would give me a refund, and they refused. I talked to an extremely rude man who told me that he would charge me 50% to "restock". Not only was he extremely rude/uncooperative/loud, HE WAS THE OWNER. I asked to speak to someone who could speak to me more nicely, he told me no one else could help me, he was the owner. Purchase of hot tub May 2008. At Empire Building Materials Leesport, Pennsylvania After about two months I noticed that it seemed the hot tub was loosing water. We bought premium Stainmaster carpet from Home Depot in Woodland, California. We picked a dense carpet near the top of the price line. The carpet is absolutely worthless, and within several months showed more stains than the carpet it replaced had shown in 15 years! Common dirt gets ground in and causes stains. Stain removers which worked well on our old carpet don't work on it. Don't buy this carpet... it's terrible! $5, 000 down the drain. Perhaps they call it "Stainmaster" because it stains so easily!
