I have hughs net for 13 months. I have a problem with my hardware. I was a few days late calling so my warrnety is over. They wanted me to run "speed test" which took me 3 days and several hours of my time!!! They said I needed a repair person at $125 for a diagnostic plus a repair person for work plus parts. WILD BLUE is in my area now with local people, and a much better service. For those who must have Hughes Net maybe you will have to do what we did-Pray and ask God for an alternative. I ordered a new TiVO DVR Monday, 12/10/07. It was delivered Friday, 12/14/07. They even threw in a free wireless connection. Although I have been able t connect two wireless laptops to my network, and TiVO was able to see my network, it was unable to connect. When I called customer tech support I was told to call the modem and/or router manufacturer for support or use ethernet or phone connection. Poor management. This is a privately owned business, so they don't have to follow their own rules set forth in the handbook. The handbook states raises are given to full time employees every six months to a year. Since the club is only open limited hours. There is only enough room for two full time employees. Do not, under any circumstances do business with these people. They are con artists of the first order. They are middle men, have no product, specialize in delay stories, confusion, misinformation and outright lies. They are unable to honor any shipping commitments, and based on a review of other complaints, when they finally deliver, you get junk. Wow! This card has been a nightmare. I have credit available, but they decline charges. Each month I get at least one charge - along with the $10.95 monthly fee. More often than not, I get two charges, amounting to over $70, in addition to the $10.95 monthly fee. All of the dvd's were badly scratched. The sixth season dvd's had english subtitles taht took up half the screen, were in jibberish, and could not be turned off by a menu selection. This company is not very responsible. I placed an order for an item that was stated as being in stock at the time I placed the order. It was to be shipped with in 5-7 business days. After two weeks I contacted customer service via email. I was informed that the item was on backorder and that my credit card would not be charged until the item was ready for shipment. I was given a new shipment date. I cancelled the order since it was going to be 2 more weeks!
