Jumpstart.com is a learning game and seller to schools, I signed my daughter up for a 1 month trial for $4.99, being wary I could not find a cancel button so I contacted them 20 days later to see if I needed to cancel or it just expired. No response so I emailed them again. Nothing and then a $7.99 fee per month for 2 months. Again I called the 800 number and threatened to turn them in to the FTC, Consumer Affairs and the BBB and Chamber where they are located and voila a refund. Be wary of these scams. First, he couldn't get my wall-mounted TV off the wall. Then, he took it away to diagnose the problem. Couldn't find anything wrong. Then, he "remembered" that another customer had the same problem (green screen, then black screen/no picture), and that the cable TV box was the problem. Sure enough, that was it. They called me and said me that I won a chance to win 2 billion dollars and asked me to subscribe to their magaznes with a $5 per month. But they charged me $41 per month. I did not check my credit card account transaction for nearly 5 months. When I noticed it, I cancelled by credit card. Then they called me asked me my new credit card information, when I refused they threatened me first and later they asked me to pay a min amount of $540 to cancel the subscription. At the purchase point they said that if the program ever had to be reinstalled that all you had to do was E-Mail to customer support and a dowload like would be sent. Well my computer was formatted twice and I E-mailed them at least six times for the download link and received no response. I purchased the program in August and only used it for a few weeks. I was watching A Perfect World on the EAction channel through Cox Communications Digital Television and 15 minutes before the movie ended, it switched to another movie. Nothing like investing nearly two hours in a movie only to have it switch to a different movie during the ending. I received a letter in the mail that my child was nominated for the Who's Who Award from D.C. I paid for the yearbook and the the plaque in 2009...total price was about $150.00. I was told that I would receive my order in the Spring 2010. When I called to check the status of the order in 4/2010, the company's recording said that they were closed due to economic hardship. Saw TV channel listing online (which was burried on their website) updated in Aug that the sports channel we want is now in the 'basic' package. Verify in their published PDF (updated in Oct) that this is the case. Call to change and, no, sports package may or may not be, in the basic package. One person says yes, maybe, one says no, one says because former person said no, it must not be. And, I see in my latest bill, that they are going to change channel listings again in Dec. I purchased a 46" Samsung TV along with a 5 year extended service warranty from Abe's of Maine in 2007. All was well until recently..I never needed to use the warranty. Now I have a problem with the set and attempted to contact the warrranty company, Repairtech, and found the number disconnected. I can not believe that a show like Adventure Time is played on cartoon network for kids to watch. I believe it should be taken off the air! Immediately! How is it a PG cartoon? Old DVR stopped working so I went to Comcast for a new one. They gave me a Cisco RNG200. I've has it for 2 weeks now and the OnDemand service does not work. Techs have visited the house twice. Each time they tell me that the DVR cannot get an IP Address and that the trouble is with the network. Each time I was told that an outside tech was working on the problem.
