While Tucson.BBB.org rates American Home Maintenance, Inc A+ my experience with the company is much less. A service call was arranged via Home Depot for repair of my HVAC system. The problem was diagnosed to a faulty blower motor relay. The relay price was quoted at $379 and would not be replaced without a $249 cleaning. We paid over $1400USD for a custom made BBQ / Grill Outdoor Kitchen Island. This product is so poorly made it could never be used for it's intended purpose. I am a furniture supplier to Cymax Stores.com. This company is totally committed to customer service and do everything in their power to look after all customer issues. It's totally unfair to blame them for late shipments and faulty products. It is my experience that consumers take advantage of their return policy and exercise "buyers remorse" when they recieve a piece that they decide they should not have bought in the first place. Which I don't think is possible because my wife would go and dry our clothes at the local laundromat. I purchased decking material from Cali Bamboo that does not preform as they advertised. It was install with there fastening system, properly space, and to their specification. Yet, the material is cupping, splintering, and drying out. I was told that the maintenance schedule would be every 7 years, and only for UV protection to maintain color. Ordered gate from Troy's Ironcraft. I just read a 2009 complaint regarding the same issue with this company. My gate was the wrong size. Also, very rude and offensive toward me after I complained to them. I would not do any business with this company. The other complaint listed about them is very believable after my experience. We had a 6 month ordeal with this company. We bought new vinyl floor for our kitchen which was not properly installed (it was only perimeter glued, rather than gluing down the whole tile surface). We purchased the 18" by 48" pool from Samsclub ($449.00) last year and the pool started out with no problems. Then the pump started overheating and we could only run it for 8 hours per day. We had it covered from direct sunlight also. This year we found that the impeller was loosing its fins. My husband glued them back on and the pump worked for 3 weeks. I bought a new kitchen from Laurysen Kitchens that came in with a significant amount of damage to doors and edge banding. The finish had dust under the paint and paint inconsistent on many of the doors. The doors were returned 3 times and still had not changed from when they were originally sent out but came back dented and damaged. FrontPoint is a rip off if you have to cancel your monitoring We have to leave the country for three years for my husband's work. Frontpoint says I have to pay $750 to cancel my contract. I am astounded and amazed. I found in small print towards the back of the contract the statement that I have to pay 80% of the remaining term for monitoring if I cancel before three years. Paid for total landscaping, $4, 350.00. Had patio enlarged, dicomposed granite front and side yard, grass in back yard with border. Also, paid for 6 shrubs, 2 trees and 18 ground cover plants. All 18 ground cover plants died. Found out that this landscaper bought the plants at Lowes on clearence. Apparently these plants all got frost bit. I went back to the landscaper and complained. I asked hailey to repair some major plumbing problems I had. He took 3x's as long to complete the job as he orginally promised, asked for more money every week. and was very inconsiderate as well as disrespectful. I would not reccomend using his services. He is a rip off and does not complete the tasks at hand. We had to hire another contractor to finish and fix what he did and didn't do.. please be very careful about choosing your contractors. I purchased a Patio set made by Sun Bridge patio furniture under the label of "Better Homes & Garden" product line and sold by Wal-Mart. The product came with a 3 yr warranty. I have owned the product for 2 yrs 2 mo. It was used seasonally here and very well taken care of. This season as we ready to use the set, we noticed the windings that held the cushions up was breaking and unwinding. Needless to say, it is unusable to us now. North Atlantic Solutions was hired to power wash concrete pool deck and house deck. Was told by them concrete cracks also had to be filled. They filled with wrong material and cause more damage. Claimed they sealed concrete (unaware they were being observed), but did not. Power Washed approx 1/8 deck tearing out chunks of wood and splintering. did not complete. Was paid in advance $500. We had a fiberglass "Leisure Pool" installed last year by John Buchler of JPB Fiberglass Pools / JPB Contractors. It took quite a while for completion, so basically JPB just ended up closing the pool last year. I am giving a low rating because the remodel work is progressing extremely slowly. We hired Louis Marenco of Boynton Construction to do a fairly extensive remodel on our house. He signed a contract with us stating the work would be completed by 1 June. It is 28 May and the work is only about 30% complete, and on average only 2 workers show up 2 or 3 days per week. Mr Appliance charged $65.00 for a service charge that was diagnosed wrong and refused to come out again to give proper diagnosis of the problem without another $65.00 service charge. I replaced the ONE PLUG timer that they said was wrong with it and it did not work. The owner said that I should not have fixed it myself and paid them about what a new washer would cost. All I can say is, shame on them and be very carefull to make sure you get what you are paying for. There are better repair places in this town.
