I do not feel that it is right for this company or any other company to send you a monthy bill which you pay and then three months later send you another bill, which they call a corrected bill and tell you that you are receiving this bill because your services were estimated instead of actual. Today, October 6, 2008, I had my Frididaire dishwasher repaired by Sears Home Services (Sears service order #:65914956). While the repair technician was on-time and courteous, I am absolutely livid about the $179.00 charge for essentially unplugging the drain hose. My wife and I had 2 windows installed from Window world about 4 years ago. The one in the kitchen was all right but the one in the living room is a disaster. The window came in way too small for the opening but they put it in anyway. They used small pieces of wood to hold the window in the opening. They then used probably 3 or 4 tubes of caulk to fill the gaps. This looks awful. I purchased a Simmons Worldclass Wickliffe Plus mattress on 9/10/2005 from Marshall Field's department store. About 9/2007, I started to experience back and hip pain. They were very un-professional and I must say they were never on time. What a horrid business. I was told, on the phone, by their Sales Department I was to receive a Cappuccino colored Barbados futon, as depicted on their website… and a Walnut futon was delivered. My wife and I have spoke to the management at this facility on numerious occasions, concerning the door leading to the racquetball court. This door does not close properly which could lead to someone being seriously injured. Also the smell of mold in that area could be a health hazard. It is requested that these two issues be corrected as soon as posssible. Management at this facility is very supportive put it seems that complaints fall on deaf eyes at the top. CH knows that they have no competition in this area and they treat their customers like inconveniences. They had me on hold over a half hour last night just to get a message that they were closing and I could try again later. They sell junk. Tell you everything is guaranteed, and both the mattress and sofa were caving in within weeks. They won't replace the cushions on the sofa, and they won't replace the mattress. Never again... they sell nothing but junk. I have had them come out and look at the sofa. They said nothing they can do.. it is supposed to be that way, and I don't know how to sit on it. I am extremely disappointed in the Sealy Pillowtop Mattress which I purchased at the end of May, 2007, from JC Penney. I started noticing this problem in February, 2008 and called them. I bought a reclining leather loveseat and sofa set from Ashley Furniture Homestore in North Brunswick, NJ. Of which Reclining Loveseat had some stitching issues which their Technician wasn't able to fix it so they replaced it but the replacement which they shipped was even in worst shape than the original one. Do your research! No con too small. Has been ripping people off for many years. Knows the ins and outs of how to work the legal system and has avoided serious prosecution. I signed a contract with a guy called Sam of Power Pack Paving in June 2008 to have my driveway and walkway paved. They came to do the walkway in July. However, on day 1 they finished the walkway, I found obvious defects. They did not even do the step on the walkway properly as such the height of step is not in accordance with the Building Code (>8 inches in height per step). Company took $300 from me stating that I would be given quality leads from people looking to do work with my business or my level of expertise. What I have got from them is headache, unverified leads that 6 out of 8 have been invalid leads (ie bad numbers, not looking to get work done, angry people stating they did not work done or didnt know what I was talking about). Jag from Euro Canada Furniture sold us a dinning room set based on a Galaxy Furniture catalog he had in store. The set was delivered missmatched by Galaxy Furniture. The hutch and the buffet boxes describe them as of color "brown", while the table, leaves and the 6 chairs have the color on the boxes "cherry". Company failed to pay numerous employees in a timely manner, and failed to pay them the correct amount for time worked. Complaints were made by some to labor board and by others to BBB, neigther of which bothered conducting an investigation. He says he is a Contractor & Handyman. He also goes by the name of Hoby Handyman. He does not carry any kind of insuance, and works - as you might say - under the table. He has no tools, but tries to borrow them from customers - then will misplace them. He even does lawn work, but doesn't even own a lawn mower. He is a complete phony, he screws sub-contractors and anyone else he thinks he can get away with. He has been Bankrupt before, - very shady.
