I had to fire Nick Taylor of Atlas Constructors because he raised the price of the job after the contract was agreed upon. He was extremely behind schedule and I could not see an end in sight with the methods he employed. I ran out of confidence when the men working under him openly questioned his knowledge of his trade in front of him and myself. We hired Roof to Deck one year ago to power wash and stain our deck. They spilled stain, were very sloppy and ended up power washing our deck 3 times. The owner insisted I knew nothing about wood, and they did not need to sand the wood. They guaranteed the deck would hold it's stain for 2 years. In 9 months almost all of our stain was gone. I chose to not engage with Roof to Deck due to the fact each time we had an issue with the sloppiness of the workers, the owner came out to our house, and was combative and argumentative. I purchased a Kitchenaid Bowl Lift Stand Mixer in 2007. A few weeks ago the beater shaft housing separated from the main part of the unit and fell into a bowl of cake batter I was mixing.
