My Microwave oven caught fire while using the baked potato auto sensor setting on the microwave. The food/compartment area started on fire and flooded my home with smoke. My first round with Electrolux Corporation Customer Service, the CSR chastised me for using paper towel in the microwave (see user manual page 6 on paper toweling and the endorsed use thereof). I do not know what possed J.W.Rowell and Robert English to put red clay down on a dirt road (92 Mclaurin Rd. Franklin Al. When nothing was wrong with this road to begin with. Purchase queen set mattress in May 2009, left side of mattress is already sinking. Mattress was supposed to be firm and it is not as firm as it should be for this type of mattress. Called Customer Service to setup a warranty tech to come out and check it out. Was asked how many slats on frame, I told them we had 4 slats and was told that they could not help me because our frame did not have (5) slats. Was told to go to home depot and purchase one and add it in order to have someone come out to inspect. We were never told at the store that those were the warranty requirements. That is ridiculous. I tried to order the "Redi Set Go" cooker and tried to do it online, to avoid pushy telephone sales, instead I ended up with over $20.00 in items I did not want to order and ended up in a "Recipe Club" that was going to be a pain to reverse!!! Soup To Nuts does repairs of any kind on or in your home. Just beware that this company has no licence which is mandated in the county of Suffolk, NY and no insurance for liability to your home or his off the books employees. They do the work anywhere form putting up walls and painting to building decks and rooms, including plumbing and electrical. In 11/05 - 02/08, we had a porch built on our home in NY by a contractor. It was incomplete and shoddily done. We complained to the local County Consumer Affairs and a decision was made to have the contractor repay us the money needed to complete the job & resolve shoddy work. The case was sent to the local County AG Office for collection in June 2008 and we are still awaiting resolution of the matter. We had a contract with Florida Solar to install 6 solar panels on our roof to heat our pool. The contract was signed on April 28, 2007. Florida Solar did not install the panels within the 7-10 days specified in the contract. We paid them a check of $2000 deposit and they cashed it right away before the right to recind date on the contract had passed. I purchased and had installed a new pool liner on 4/28/2004 at a cost of over $1, 000.00. Paradise pool told me the liner was under warranty for any defects through the manufacturer. My husband and I had a written contract with a general contractor to do our lowel level of our new home. He was to do concrete walls and floor. While he did the walls in November of 2006, we had trouble getting him to finish the job. We had paid all but $2000.00 of the job. Builder contracted to build house at cost plus fixed fee, but took more than 300, 000 in money not spent on house not including builders fee of 200, 000 and refuses to finish house or return unspent money. In all they have reportedly spent just over 700, 000 on a 1, 300, 000 house and refuses to return any of the 500, 000 of unspent money. The public needs to be warned about this company. In August of 2007 I contacted Harbour Home Improvements for some work to be done to my house. There were 2 contracts drawn up at a total cost of $13, 700.00 and approximately 10-14 weeks to complete both contracts. I have been living with my 89 year old Mom for four years as a 24/7 caregiver due to her having a stroke and other medical conditions. I took care of Mom and Dad till 2004 when Dad passed away. Now I am in my mom's home to care for her since 2004 and have not had a chance to live in my own house that my husband and I moved into in 2001. A Georgia fence company built a 211' capped fence for me at high cost on March 31, 2008. They were paid in full. I called them back in June and July to fix 5 warping Posts and approximately 60 pickets. I contracted Mac & I to remodel my moms kitchen and bath. In August we looked at a home in Monticello NY. Upon inspecting the home, it needed a lot of work, but the house was in decent shape in the infrastructure. IE water pipes heat pipes, new furnace installed, foundation, and so on. Well we saw the house was winterized in August 2008 by Safegaurd Properties Inc. I purchased both the Kenmore Elite Oasis washer and dryer set in August 2007. I began having problems with the dryer immediately. I t doesn't dry the clothes even on the heavy duty setting. A repairman came out and said that the vent coil was extremely sensitive and to make sure it wasn't twisted. I was quoted $6450.00 to install 645 glass blocks in our office renovation project. Changes had to be made to meet ADA codes and the wall was reduced to only 297 glass blocks. We were not given credit for the 348 blocks that were not installed. Our contract required change orders to be approved and assigned by myself or my wife before being accepted. It will be four years in May 2009 that I was ripped off by Benchcraft Builders of Burlington County. May 2005 I wanted to make some changes in my home. Whitney inc. Has been on TV before. Right now the attorney general has filed 2 felony cases for 2007 and 2008 for home repair fraud. I filed a complaint against him in March or April 2009 for not paying subs and to let the attorney general that he was still cheating Oklahoma homeowners, I have info of at least 2 homeowners that he has cheated. While installing a new furnace and thermostat control device, the crew from Sierra Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning (Chico) made numerous errors in the install that caused damage to my home. Two attic access panels and panel trim were broken/damaged and had to be replaced. The crew said the panels were not cut properly so they did not fit. We signed a contract with Hector Cruz Fencing formally Armstrong Fencing on 09/09/09 and gave him a deposit of $700.00 Cash. We hired Hector 2 years ago and he installed a very large fencing system for us so we had no reason not to trust him. On the 9th he told us he needed a material deposit and we gave it to him. It has been 10 days and we are not able to reach him. He has not returned our phone calls or emails, etc. I found this website and we are shocked and completely disappointed. I started contacting Procraft Viriginia over three years ago to find out they went out of business and Procraft Maryland took over their contracts and sent me a plan to pay an adiditional $750 for them to make the repairs and maintain the warranty. I apid it over two years and no one has been out to assess the damage nor offered a refund of the $750 nor the original $16, 000. I've been calling and emailing to no avail. We received an unsolicited email from them advertising a 121 Hour Stimulus Sale where they were offering free delivery and setup on their "wholesale" priced manufactured homes.
