On June 26, 2009, we signed a membership for a set of vacation packages for $5, 304. After signing the contract, we did not get all copies of the contract. There were terms in the contract that were excessive, unreasonable, and illegal. They used coercive tactics and extreme sales pressure to get us to sign their contract. We recently went back home for a one week visit. we arrived Saturday, June 20th and checked out on Thurs June 25 we stayed a total of 5 nights. We have always stayed at this hotel when we go home to visit. it used to be the Best Westeren and we have never had encountered such filth as we did on this trip. My travel rewards agent made the reservations for a 2-night stay at this hotel. since I am being rewarded for the stay, I was told by my travel reward agent that I will not pay for the stay with the understanding that I will pay for any incidentals. I was booked for August 27 and 29, 2009. This hotel charged $172.78 to my visa without my knowledge and authorization. The travel rewards agent made the booking in my name and they committed to pay for it. So why this hotel charged my credit card with out my authorization is beyond me. read full review »

i was unable to get home for a family emergency, us airways told me i had to pay an additional $180.00 to get home to my daughter who was in need of a hospital immedietley. So the airline would rather send a plane off the ground with empty seats than put a customer who already paid to go home 2 days later on it to get to her daughter who needed her . I will NEVER fly us airways EVER again and i advise that you dont either, they dont seem to care . Am I the only person who is affected by the problem of strong perfume triggering migraine headaches? Virgin-Atlantic seems to think so. I recently became severely affected by a migraine after having been subjected to 11 hours of flying in a cabin serviced by male flight attendants who reeked of perfume. I paid a deposit amount of $3, 000.00 to Maharaja Cruise for the booking of twenty people for the ship departing from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico. Vacation network has no inventory. We have been dealing with them now for several years and they have no inventory. All you get is the run around from their office. John, the head of the sales group promised 5 star vacations anywhere in the world with lots of inventory. The customer vacation book given at the time of the sales also advertises 5 star condo's as long as you sign up with the proper forms and follow the rules. Stay away from both these companies! We did everything they said in terms of sending the forms & the supposedly refundable deposits. We haven't heard a single thing from VIP Travel & the one measly phone call from Certs Inc tells us that the dates we had chosen were wrong. So now Certs says we would need to attend another stinking 2hour rip off timeshare presentation & then wait til two weeks before our departure before we would receive any sort of confirmation of our trip at all. Ok how does this sound for a vacation: My wife and I sailed last August on the Norwegian Sky for 4 days in the Bahamas for our honeymoon! The trip was wonderful. Despite the fact we left two hours early due to hurricane activity and a good portion of the people sailing with us never made it, WE had a great time. Recently my friend and I stayed at the Days Inn in Danville, PA. The room was dirty. There were cobwebs on the walls, curtins and behind the curtins. There were 3 spiders we were aware of...one on the ceiling above the beds, one on top of the curtin and one on the table. Also the sheets had yellow circular stains on them and the light in the bathroom was falling down and broken. I have stayed in older hotels and motels...old doesn't bother me...but clean does. I understand that East Coast people have a rep for the attitude. However, this hotel takes it over the edge. My first visit to Manhattan two weeks ago was crazy when I arrived at my hotel. The mgmt is a bunch of idiots who care nothing about the guest. I three times asked for extra towels and they never brought them. Gave up dealing with this non-responsive company/owner. Complaints to BBB, and Florida Department of Consumer Services. Took case to Volusia County Small Claims Court and received a judgment in our favor in May. Fortunately I have excellent records to support every issue we had.
