A month ago I lodged a complaint regarding fraudulent charges on my account as the result of using it to "verify my age". I to was taken by Avalon Lending Solutions. I got a call from a David Rally, stating that I had been approved for a loan in the amount of 7000 with 8% interest. I wired the money thinking that it was legit. I had done my research and it seemed to be ok. I decided not to do the loan when they stated that they needed more money for the insurance payment to protect themselves in case I didn't make my monthly payments. I ordered a free trial product on November 23rd and received the order on January 5th. ( I live in Canada so that may be why it took so long) I was charged shipping charges for this order, as stipulated on their website. On December 15th I was charged $ 63.44 Canadian and on December 30th I was charged another $82.22 Canadian. I have not received any other product and did not agree to automatic shipments. They will e-mail you regarding your $1.99 charge and provide product immediately. I recently discovered an unauthorized charge of $14.95 each month since April 2008. As my husband always checks the statement and didn't bother with this charge thinking it was something I did it went unnoticed all this time. I called and cancelled, but wish to get a refund. This happened when I ordered a swimsuit coverup online from Casual Living. No mention was made that they would subcsribe me to some savings services with some company called Shopping Essesntials. I looked up my grand mother and they came back with ticks against all things. Marriage, birth, death etc. At no time did they say it was based in US so I thought I would pay the premium, and look it up as they seemed to know. I clicked on paypal and they took the money only for me to find the name came back as nothing, nothing, nothing. On November 30, 2008, I ordered a box set of DVDs on the Internet from TVShowBoxSet for my son for Christmas. Cost was $88.99 via PayPal. When there was no delivery, I emailed the company on December 15 for an explanation. No response. Website is 'under construction.' On December 22, I contacted PayPal to file a claim.
