Our experience during our recent 1-week stay (5/24 - 5/31/2011) was simply not acceptable. We reserved a king-bed room months in advance, only to be placed when we arrived in possibly the worst hotel room we have ever occupied. Universal Marketing promised to have a bank qualified buyer for my Silver Leaf Villages time share and that closing would be in 4 weeks. They required a $2500 fee for title search, closing cost and such. That was 4 months ago and no closing, no returing of my calls. My only recourse at this point is the file a formal fraud complaint with the Attorney General's offices of Massachusetts and Florida. I went to FasTan in Roanoke VA a week or so ago and after I went back to the room to tan, I heard an employee say "WOW, she is so fat she might break the bed".. Tried to verify funds and could not get the banks (HSBC) cooperation. The check is written on an existing bank at the address for that bank on the check. When the representative for Urban-Aid asked me to deposit and not wait the 3-5 days(my bank needs to verify funds) I was sure I was being conned. When I rented my studio apartment @ 13935 Glenn Pines Rd, Grass Valley, CA 95945 4/22/2008 I was told all appliances worked including the heater and that there was never very much snow.
