Purchased a treadmill from Sears in August 2006 for $1700 and a 5 year warranty for $475. Allegedly covers all parts and service. Called to request service, sears claimed Nordictrack was to service. Nordictrack claimed extended warranty was covered by Sears. Spent 50 minutes being transferred between companies - Sears claimed they had no record of the warranty. Beware of Credit One Credit cards. In the contract you accept, there is a clause that they will charge you a monthly fee even if there is no balance on the card. If you don't pay the fee on time, you get a $29 late fee...those fees for nothing add up quickly!! Never buy a 3rd party auto warranty for your used car. The big 3 offer aftermarket warranties for their cars and they cost more, but there is a reason. I just had my Ford transmission go at only 10K into the warranty with Amerigard and while they aggreed that the tranmission had to be replaced, they have a cap (in section IV on the warranty) of $2000 no matter what it costs. If anyone is looking for an alarm service for there home, please be aware of checkmate security systems. We found them through an ad (1st mistake), and signed a contract. When we had work done on our house, we had the service suspended. As per checkmate, we were told this would not be a problem. Website was "buried" in an on-line payday loan application...when you say "yes" to the on-line payday loan you "automatically" get signed up for the Grocery Coupon clip and save website Grosavsc.com and you WILL be billed $12.99 per month. I bought a Sears Craftsman 26 inch electric snow blower on 21 December 2008. Itr was used twice last winter, then stored in garage until this January. The snow blower will not start, and the starter appears faulty. Sears considers this a "carry-in" item and if they have to come to our house to repair it, I will be charged $100.00 call out fee plus parts, etc. The snow blower is 56 inches long, 45 inches tall and 25 inches wide. My garage door did not open completely especially in cold weather. When he first came to evaluate the problem, he made it seemed as if this was a large problem requiring sometime to do the work. A friend and I were injured in a fatal accident on April 18th. The next day we realized we needed medical attention and went to the center, where we were asked what was wrong, x-rayed, and received MRIs. The insurance policy of the party at fault took care of all of the bills except those from Wat. Radiological Services--which is a separate billing entity. Due to insufficient notification, BOTH of us missed the discrepency and are henceforth being pursued by WRS's collection agency, John Barry & Associates. We bought a top-of-the-line King Koil latex mattress. It was soooo comfy for the first 30 days or so and then we started to notice obvious sagging, waking up with back pain, etc. We removed all of the bedding to look at the mattress and the sagging was actually visible and looked like the mattress had been folded in half, almost leaving a crease across the middle. I bought the DVD player on 9/19/09 and from the start the remote control only worked when it was less than 1 foot away from the player. They nicely sent me a replacement remote, but upon first use it worked just like the first. I lived with that problem, as my time has been too busy to do otherwise.
