I purchased a black & Decker HT22D from Home Depot 6 months ago. I have been very satisfied with trimmers performance. Unfortunately the last time I used it one of the ears on the cutting blade broke off. Today I took it to a Black and Decker service center for repair and was told it could not be repaired since Black and Decker no longer provided replacement blades. All, 1st Choice Moving and Storage is one such company that you cannot trust as their representatives would not even bother to call you back regarding the move. I initiated the move from Olympia WA on September 24th and I still haven't received my stuff to date (November 19th 2008). On calling them they keep telling that they would not know when they can deliver as they thrive on some other moving agency. Gist of it, just stay away as they fail you in every regard. We paid Truman Albright to repair the roof on our rental property and it still leaked. It got so bad we had to have another contractor come replace the sheet rock in the ceiling below it. We contacted Truman first to see if his 'warranty' would cover stopping the leak before further repairs were made. He charged another $465 to take a $5 tube of roof caulk to the area in question. 2 days later the roof still leaked. When we called to have him come back he refused, became very angry and made verbal threats. If anyone else has a similar story about this guy, please post it here. We paid Jason for 5 doors, received 4 of the 5 but they were incomplete. Still waiting on door 5. We paid in full as he wouldn't ship the doors if we didn't. Promised to send the last door and we have documentation. Tried to sue but of course he waived all right and wanted to take it to court. Well the lawyer in Texas wants more money (another rip off) so we could spend all this money on a law suit and all Jason has to do is declare bankruptcy. My wife and I bought a Simmons Beauty Rest mattress 3 years ago. After 1 year of usage we noticed sagging where we sleep. We both have back pain as a result of sleeping on the mattress. At first the product seemed great, but it did not take long for the problem to develop. We are not happy with the mattress, no stains, bought the right frame and it doesn't sound like having the inspector out yields any results. I hired Midwest Air Care to clean my Furnace Air Ducts, & in the process of blowing air down my west side cold air duct they cause a large cloud of dust to come up out of my south cold air vent, into my living room. The dust went through my whole house. One of the employees went out to their pick up truck & got their "shop Vacume" & was sucking the dust out of the air. My husband and I purchased a mattress, box spring, bed frame, and special ordered a 5 drawer dresser, and head/foot board on 9/15/08. We opened a credit card and made a $500.00 deposit on this date. It seems once you've paid for an item, being unfortunate enough to receive it in any state at all, is all that Sklar Pepplar / Alberta home interiors needs to wash their hands of the transaction. Recommend to ALL that terms of full payment should be conditional, based on receiving product not in a damaged or incomplete state and certainly not for a 'promise' that the factory will ship out replacements ASAP. I bought 7 hampton bay ceiling fans with remotes. I have 2 remotes that are working but the displays are only half lit. so you can not tell what is happening. Hampton bay has a lifetime limited warranty and I don't know if that covers the hampton bay remotes. I have not tried to take them back to Home Depot because I no longer have the bill of sale since the builder put them in I do have the operating booklets The models are Callaway II But my concern is the remotes. I ordered dining room furniture from them in May of 2005. The dining room was by Kathy Ireland, Standard. When we finally received the furniture the glass on the hutch and the buffet was unsafe, it would move as if it would fall at any moment, the buffet doors where uneven, and the drawer was not hinged properly. I purchased a custom made $400.00 Larson door seven years ago from The Home Depot in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. My door developed bubbles at the bottom and soon began to eat through the core of the door. We reported in the waranty peride some defects of our new home. That started in September 2008, untill today there has no action been taken from Centex. The only actions taken are empty promisses and apointments who were not kept. A big hole in the back wall of a kitchen cabinet (can see inside the wall) De-railing drawers. Defect in the dishwasher. Crack in granit counter top. Can not recoment Centex as a builder who provide a great after care in the waranty periode. We contracted with RH Lazaros Pro Painting, LLC of 4 Daniels Farm Rd # 311, Trumbull, CT to paint our home in October of 2006. We selected them because they offered a 4 year guarentee to re-paint any peeling paint. The contract specifically states they will guarantee the paint job for any peeling paint for 4 years.
