We purchased a salt system for our swimming pool from PoolEx, and after just over a year the unit quit working. An electrode had gone out, which according to the PoolEx technician that came to fix the unit, should lasted four years. JoAnn at PoolEx, whom claims to be the manager and is quite abrasive to deal with, stated it must have been our fault due to a lack of pool care. I purchased this sofa in Feb. of this yr. Did not buy extended warrenty. Within a few weeks I noticed color was coming off and frame was bent. The store said I did not call within the first week and I have no warrenty. How many people turn their sofa upside to inspect it when purchased. I wanted a new sofa, they refused. They have sent out a repair man 3 times with a piece to repair frame. All 3 times wrong piece. I still have the wrong piece and we have not heard anymore from them. Unit has not worked properly for over 6 months. It does not make the water soft, it has an awful taste. The incentives are a joke--the products are substandard. The coupon program is a rip-off. Company does not want to honor the warranty--wants me to pay a service charge for coming out to fix it. Even after setting an appointment, the company stood me up. I was fired because someone stole a car from Wal-Mart while I was on duty. I cannot patrol the entire lot at one time. I called Sears on November 1 to have them fix my 4 year old fridge when the compressor broke. They told me first available was November 8th. I got off early on the 8th just to have the repairman call me to inform me he would be ordering my part that day. He would reschedule for the 14th. Ok, two weeks without a fridge is bad, but not as bad as having them call me the 14th at 9 am after we were already at work to tell me that they cancelled my appointment. This company should be ashamed of itself. We purchased our bedroom set in May 2005. The first delivery to us contained a cracked headboard. They did not warn me of this until the furniture arrived and the delivery man asked me if we still wanted it. WHAT? No, we did not ORDER defective furniture, so we declined it and requested a new headboard. The armoire that we received had a big crack in the bottom - like a piece had been broken off. I cancelled a contract within the 10 day cancellation period allowed by the consumer protection act and the company failed to fully refund my deposit. The company failed to respond to an inquiry into this matter from the Better Business Bureau. The matter was eventually settled in small claims court. We paid $38, 000 in cash up front for a sunroom and additon to our house, only to have it leak for weeks in our house and then Ron never paid our subcontractors CMK. They are now putting a $4000 lien on our house. I NEVER subscribed/enrolled/joined this company's offer. I have never received any information, membership cards, or anything relating to whatever offer they had. They have debited my checking account in the amount of $12.99 from Aug-Nov. I finally found a phone number for them, and called 11/3 upon finding that they had once again debited my account. This website is definitely a scam! I ordered a table and it never came. The status of my order said estimated ship date late October when I ordered it early September. i was being patient, waiting for that time to come, but the table never showed. I tried multiple times to contact the customer service but no one replied to my endless emails. Also, I tried calling but the phone is disconnected. Now, the site is no longer on-line. I had them come over to repair a pin hole leak in a shower pipe. He cut about 6 inches off and sweated on the new piece. I had already removed the drywall and he could reach the pipe easily. He started off by saying that this would be difficult to do. The leak was about 5 inches off of the floor. He got here at 11Am and started the repair at 11:20. He was done at 11:40 AM. Stay away from Cottonwood Futons, Madison WI. From Cottonwood Futons, I purchased a futon frame, mattress, drawers for the frame, and a cover for the mattress. I received the drawers in a undamaged shipping box with the bottoms cracked. The drawer bottoms are about the thickness and structural integrity of a piece of cardboard. My wife wrote an email to Cottonwood and we were referred to Tech. support. eFaucet agreed in writing an escutcheon was included as part of a faucet order. The escutcheon did not arrive . eFaucet again agreed, via phone, the escutcheon was to have been included and said it would be shipped. Later eFaucet welched on the agreement saying: "I am sorry you were given incorrect information." They will now sell it to me for about $85.00 more charge...they will waive shipping! Anyone who lives in Baton Rouge knows how inflexible our water company is. Forget about getting an extension, and if you are young and just starting out, i.e. no credit to speak of, you can expect to pay up to $150.00 for your water service deposit. If you are lucky enough to actually get service, you WILL be subjected to some of the rudest women in Baton Rouge, bar none. But this is not my complaint. I brought a couch and loveseat from this company and when I received it, it was uncovered and they tried to put it in the house. Unfortunatly it wouldn't fit in the front door and I had them leave it because I had the back door blocked off. My husband and I bought a select comfort bed in 1998. The bed was fine for about a year or two then it started to have problems keeping air in the chambers especially my husbands side. The center began to sink leaving no support. Trying to pump more air into it did not help the matter at all. Now both sides are sinking in the middle.We bought two pumps, the second one was refurbished costing 120.00. still problems. These beds are not cheap ours cost about 1500 dollars.We have a multitude of back problems that are costing us money, their customer service people are extremely rude they are ripping people off bigtime. I got a pool from them, and it isn't what they said it was. I got the upgrade from the $395 pool as well. No chemicals, just a gallon of bleach a week. NOT! You have to use algaecide, and other chemicals as well. Not as many as a regular pool, maybe, but chemicals anyway. Gexa Energy is a complete RIP OFF. The worst service EVER. I have been disconnected 2 times in 10 days. Now how can this be. I got a message from them about my service. I called and spoke to a rep on Oct 27. She told me i needed to pay $200. I did so that same day. On Nov 3rd guess what, my service was disconnected. I called to find out the problem. This is not a complaint, but a commendation for A&E Factory Service I bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot about two months ago. The icemaker failed to deliver cubes or crushed ice almost immediately, I think I made one glass of cubes, tried to crush one, and the unit failed. Called Maytag and was referred to a small, local company in Sarasota. They came and inspected the unit, told me it needed a new delivery system, motor, everything. We are in the middle of a house wide remodeling project. After looking into granite counter tops my husband and I decided to go with Rock Tops. That turned out to be a terrible mistake. First When purchasing our counters they tried to sneek extra charges in. Earlier this summer I had a company install a sump pump in my crawl space. As a temporary measure I ran a cheap 20 ft flex line into the yard. Last week I hired Mr Rooter to run a permanent drain line to the street (70ft.) They quoted $1, 645 which I thought was high, but worth it if the company did quality work. When there plumber came out to my house to check out a problem i had with my presure, he never checked the presure of the house from outside or even did any thourough investigation of the issue. He tells me i have to change the presure main valve. I had good presure in my entire house except for my master bedroom shower head.
