Arman, a middle Eastern guy came to my house to install a gas stove. After the guy was finished, I smell gas, but he said that the stove is new and the smell will go away. This is the the most unethical company I have ever worked with in forty years of home ownership! From day one it was problem after probem...starting with the salesman not knowing how to corrrectly measure the window openings. They cleaned the drains in my home on October 2010. Charged 580.75. Then added an extra $29, and $15 to my credit card. I sorted that part out, but now I found out that they charged my credit card on January 17th 2011 for a further $595.75. They don't answer their phone. Selected an engineered hardwood floor from Shaw flooring. The installed product did not even come close to the sample board used to make the selection. Shaw would not send anyone out to review the installed product versus the sample. We had to send the sample board to them and they denied the claim. I bought a Stanley bedroom set from their American Modern Collection in 2010 and am appalled at the quality we received. We custom ordered it from International Home Furnishings and saw the set in a store before purchasing. When the furniture was delivered to our home it was all dented and dinged up. No complaints about the food but don't use the restrooms before eating it. They are not clean, are too small, are not handicap accessible and have no paper towels. I purchased a Kenmore Elite Calypso Washer from Sears in 2002. Within one year it had the mother Board replaced for more than $1000 but luckily it was under warranty. I have never been happy with the performance of this washer. Clothes are dripping with water and full of lint. It has broken down couple of times and I have had it fixed . It is broken again and I just found out that there was a Class Action Law Suit for this model settled in 2009 and I was not even aware of it because Sears did not deem it necessary to inform me. Dixie Homecrafters installed The GutterGuardian System on my home 7/25/09. I have repeatedly complained about the water dripping from the gutter system when it rains, snows or sleets. They have sent reps out that say there is nothing wrong with the system and that the dripping is a random incident or that there is not enough water falling to wet the paint on the gutter cover to wick the water into the gutter. ELK is very good at marketing and responds very quickly and efficiently to new potential clients, but when it comes to delivery, they are shocking! Over a period of two and a half months they have made numerous appointments to come take final meassurements and then never pitch up (after you have moved your appointments to accomodate them). We bought a Camelot Motion Reclining sofa and loveseat, both with recliners on each end. The cables on ALL of the recliners have broken, and seam impossible to repair.
