I love Benjamin Moore paint, but today I went to their store in Arlington Virginia to get some samples. The store charged me $12 for 2- two ounce bottles of paint! That actually works out to about $380 a gallon Why they would want to charge this much and then expect you to return and buy their paint is a customer service mystery. So I took the color samples to Home Depot where they cross referenced them and mixed a whole quart of paint and charged me $7. On 7/3/09 we purchased a reclining sofa and love seat for $999.99. It was delivered on 7/8/09 and by 9/29/09, that's right, 2 and 1/2 months later 3 of the 4 recliners were broken. In the process of closing the recliners the mechanism just bent. I called and it took 2 weeks for someone to come down to tell me that they need to order parts. I agree with the other complainant, FirstLine Security is hands down the worst. Their system sent out several false alarms from my house as well. Then in Jan. 2008 the controller power supply shorted out and caught fire almost burning our house down. This was after I called them a week earlier to report the power supply was VERY warm. I have had two rooms and a hallway done by NFD...the carpet was done fast and looks great...the hallway was done well, installers were nice enough. Do Not Hire Atlantic Electric operating out of Lorton, Virginia Atlantic Electric came to my house through my warranty company to fix my hot tub. I cannot sleep on the bed. The dealer, Jim Corcoran will not help me and referred me to the Restonic rep and she gave me the run around. I am stuck with a bed that no one in my family can sleep on. This is a warning to anyone who is considering a roofing job with 1-800-Hanson's. I'd like to give you a brief review of my experience with this company. My complaint was - I got little hot water out of the hot water faucet and the cartridges needed to be replaced. I was told I needed a single handle tub faucet that should have been put in. I was charged $1, 352.44 for this. Then the plumber said the hot water wasn't working. He said he needed to poor acid down my water heater tube - but it would cost another $700.00 for this service. Recently purchased a Mr.Coffee coffee maker #FTX45-1. It lasted about 3 months & then would only make 2 of 12 cups of coffee. You had to turn it on & on 8 or 9 time before it would finally make the 12 cups of coffee. I had a similar horrible experience with The Door Store. I ordered mirrored wardrobes on August 26th and was promised them in 4-6 weeks. When I inquired at the six week mark, they told me they would not be ready till the end of October (approximately 8-9 weeks). I purchased Congoleum Duraceramic flooring almost four years ago, and have been haggling with the retailer and the manufacturer for the past eighteen months. We purchased a Stratford Upholstery sectional new in April of 2009. Shortly after that, the upholstery started literally disintegrating (see picture). I contacted the store, which went out of business shortly after that. I contacted the company and have been corresponding with them via email. The company has refused refund or replacement. We requested ADT security services to be installed at our residence on July 23, 2009. They took $150 up front took our credit card number at that time. The security system never worked. If we make a call to complain we have to pay $25 to $158 for service call. We cannot cancel the service because we have signed a 3 year contract! They deduct the amount monthly from my credit card.
