We rented a hotel from them on Valentines Day. The first room key we were issued went to a room that was already occupied. They gave us a second room, but while we were out to dinner, we came back our room was occupied by someone else. They had no more rooms to offer and we were out on the street at 2 am and the only explanation was that "The Manager checked your room and didn't see any suitcases so he rented it to someone else." I booked a one night stay through Marriott.com (not Expedia or Travelocity), and a week in advance of our arrival tried to cancel the reservation. I have learned that Marriott will not cancel online reservations any later than one day after the reservation is made. I spoke with reservation persons at both the Bethesda property and the national chain, and was told repeatedly that nothing could be done. Had baked stuffed lobster for $31.00. All the Lobster meat was removed and replaced with baby scrimp. I sent a letter of complaint to them and heard no response. After attending a presentation, we were given (2) vouchers to send to VIP Travel. One voucher for Air Travel, and one for Car Rental.
