I used Gem's printing in Metairie, LA for most of my wedding planning. They have everything and I was so impressed when I walked in and their customer service was great until after the sale. My RSVP's were wrong when the order was complete. The date for the RSVP was 2 weeks after the actual wedding date. And then there is the story of the cake knife...the name and date were ingraved crooked. I drove over an hour to use this particular wedding store and now I have to make extra trips to pick up merchandise that was ordered incorrectly and not done with quality. I do not recommend this shop. They can be friendly but are technically incapable of performing capable work. They are also very expensive. In July 2009 we took our 2003 Volvo to Cottman's with a hard shift problem in to/out of 2nd & 3rd. noticed a charge for $14.95 on my bank statement. Went all the way back to Nov. and charges were placed on even then. I thought it was the $14.95 that my cell phone company debits each month and that it could be an abbreviation that they use as it was the only company that would debit for that amount of money. I used this company a few years ago and spent $2, 000 on roman shades. From the very beginning they were badly made, and the cords seemed too weak to pull the shades up and down. At 1:14 am I stopped at the drive thru for quarter pounders and double quarter pounders. Meal was given to me on a timely basis no problem there. It was raining out but I only live about 10 minutes away. A bite into the hamburger had me gagging. It was seared on the outside but totally raw in the middle. I did not feel like driving back there again. This is second time this has happened on the same burgers at the same place. It looks great no doubt. But the construction is horrible. Cheap plastic and plaster. You can hear your neighbor like they were living with you. I ordered DSL internet service from AT@T in August 2009. They came out to install, but the service never worked. I called again and the service never worked a second time. Within two weeks I sent the equipment back, but they are still trying to collect for one month of service in which I never received. They sldo turned it over to "two" collection companies and filed it on my credit report which I am fighting at this time. They called us in April of 2009 to to do a service call on a phone system for an Army Recruiting Station . We are still waiting on payment as of 5-17-10! The last time I talked to Gene from Meridian he informed me that times were tough and he would pay it whenever he had the money! On or about April 19, 2008 I won $9000 playing slots at Cirrus Casino. They told me that I could not withdraw more than $5000 at a time due to US restrictions, therefore, I withdrew $5000 and $4000, respectively. There is a company called Celebrity White which I believe is legitimate. It sends an (almost) free sample and if you don't cancel you receive a monthly supply of teeth whitener which is billed automatically to your credit card. I believe this bogus company, EverBrite, piggy-backs on the legitimate company.
