My daughter ordered her wedding cake from Whitman's Bakery in Waynesville, NC. Her wedding was Oct 17. My family has been without a refrigerator for about 2 months. Efforts to repair the refrigerator by Brandsmart can best be described as ridiculous. We have repeatedly contacted Brandsmart customer service to at least speed up the delivery of the part and repair. They have a very poor record as a company BBB has given them an F rating with over 24 complaints. They use high pressure sales people and do a water test that i believe is bogus in order to scare you into purchasing their over priced filtration system. I bought a 5 year old Horton home. WHAT a mistake. Very poor quality. Many hidden mistakes. In 5 years the house is in need of roof and siding repairs. Wiring issues, plumbing issues and more. Makes me sick to see what they get away with. Government should step in amd make home builders acountable. The subcontractors took every short cut they could and no one makes sure they do it right. This is a recurring problem from what I here. The company offers a 14-day trial and only mentions 1.95 for shipping cost. Before you know it, a couple weeks later you are charged 87.62 for the trial product. When you call them they say you are part of their prefferred customer club and will from now on ship you a montly supply and continue charging you. In May I purchased a bumper and associated mounting brackets from this online company. The company sent me the wrong mounting bracket and after a month, asked me to submit a new order for the replacement bracket, which they charged me for and that they would process the return separately so I could receive a refund. Fifth Third Bank took advantage of an .89 overdraft on my checking account and racked up the fees which amounted to $129 before I could make a deposit. They would only reverse two charges and refused to reverse all of the charges. I made over 10 calls to several branches, and the toll free number, but to no avail. I was on a web site, months ago, I have no idea which site, but it had a side bar advertising ColonClease and Acai Berry. The advertisement promoted trial versions of these products, and like a complete shumck, I signed up for each one of them. Paid $4750.00 for a real estate course. I have been trying to get a refund because I am unable to use the program. I purchased it on 08/12/09. After 4 days I began calling them emailing them asking for someone to call me because I did not think I would have the time to do what it was going to take to be sucessful. After initial $1.95 charge to my credit card, a recurring charge of 49.95 and then a few days later 29.95 showed up. Then again a month later. After 15 minutes on hold with the number on my credit card statement (company name- Customer Support Now), I was told only the current charges could be refunded per an agreement with the parent company, Money Mastery.
