I walked straight from the store to the car and placed the bag in my suitcase in the trunk of my rental car to travel to the airport to catch my plane back to Indiana. Answered ad to process rebates from home with Angela Penbrook Productions. It cost me $197 to join and had nothing but problems accessing the site. Requested a refund 4/29/08 - was told 5-7 days & it would appear back on credit card, it is now Sept - I have called every month since April & was told the same thing. I paid the debt through an attorney in October 2006. Then in January 2008 I checked my credit report and found a neg report, dated January 2008 from Unistates CA, LLC for the same account. This company is a resume writing company. The company claims that they are dedicated to superior service and customer satisfaction. NOT TRUE! When purchasing a resume package from them they do not deliver on everything they guarantee. these guys are total jacks. I paid for my case in full and was told we could do filing in a week. They never return calls, they increase fees from what is advertised, which were also paid right away. Here we are nearly a month and a half later, and I have to babysit them to get the paperwork sent in for credit counseling. Every step of the way I have had to contact them, call multiple times... Telephone scam. My Verizon account is being charged an additional $42.75 per month for a non existent directory listing on the internet. One of my employees was tricked into verifying our address and phone information. When I saw this charge on my bill, I looked up both these companies and could find not even find any listings. My wife received a mailing indicating that she had won the Shopper's Voice Marketing Sweepstakes drawing of a "raffle" and enclosed supposedly Cashiers Checks in the amount of $26, 640 and $2, 960. The checks were drawn on the Twin Rivers Federal Credit Union in Massena, NY. I looked up their toll free number on line (888-414-0240) rather than the bogus number given on the "checks". The receptionist advised that they were aware of the scam and that the checks are fradulent.
