Despite hearing not-so-great things about them in the past, I'd go there frequently simply because the hours are convenient. I took my car there for an oil change and State Inspection. I also noticed some stiffness in my steering wheel; mostly while backing up, so I had them check that. After paying $799.98 to have brakes, timing belt, LOF and cooling system serviced, I attempted to drive my car home when I noticed the clutch started slipping badly when I went into 3rd gear. I returned and the tech who did the work said there was a problem with the clutch. Not wanting to leave the car there and wonder what other damage they might do I nursed the car home, had it towed to another repair facility and had the clutch replaced for another $575.00. On 11/11/09 I purchased a package of JB Weld, I went home and was unale to use because the one of the JB weld tubes was dried out and it would come out of the tube. Just wanted to say I will no longer be doing service with scootertronics. I have ordered from them in the past and was happy with their services. Today I called their 1800 number because I wanted to get specifics on a part before I ordered from their website. They replaced other items in the car without calling me for my authorization, the final price was $174.00 MORE than what I was told and had authorized. When cars received this information they would come up with all kinds of excuses to not honor there warranty and we would go back and fore with this for days on. I ordered A 2009 Venza with custom options. After waiting 2 months, I was informed that the combination of options that I ordered were not available. However, they did have another car with different options. Nice game. They got the order knowing that it could not be fulfilled and then attemped the switch. Nice try. Then David Maus Toyota would not respond to my requests for refund of $1, 000 deposit. My Credit Card Company took care of that saving me time and aggravation in filing a law suit.
