I bought the Optus prepaid wireless broadband usb modem in 2008 because the unit I moved in to did not offer ADSL2. In hindsight I wished I had never bought it. Reception and speed is dreadful in Wollongong, I rang technical services to complain and the Optus rep told me that there was only one tower in Wollongong and nothing was going to be done to improve the situation, insofar as adding more towers. My AT&T bill has been charged with a 10.66 per month charge from GeneralTexting LLC. The company keeps showing up even after cancelling them numerous times. AT&T removes the charges and cancels the subscriptions to no avail. I use my phone for calling people, I don't have fancy ringtones, nor do I want them, I don't need music on my phone and I certainly don't have time for games. Recently tried to rent a movie from the Playstation network on my PS3. It would only download to just shy of 2GB and then stopped. I tried a laundry list of things on my PS3 and my home internet connection, everything else downloaded just fine with the exception of the movie. We had the washing machine repaired by our insurer as we thought, we switched the machine on and went out shopping and on our return we notice that the fridge freezers was defrosting and the electricty was off. Bought a Toshiba L505D laptop June 27, 2009. The hard drive failed on October 24, 2009. I took it back to Best Buy for manufacturers warranty repair where I was told I would have to get the operating system disc from Toshiba.
